Why must they keep referring to the Actual expansion as DLC? this is a term that applies to other things that arent actual expansions. is it me? am i too old? or does anyone else have a nitfit whenver they hear the term, "DLC" (yes i know its an acronym) in refernece to somehting as epic and OLD as the Elder Scrolls?

@chaosstar23,
I think it's because none of these DLC are enough to be ranked as an Expansion, really.

chaosstar23 DLC=DownLoadableContent Dragonborn is content for Skyrim that you download, therefore it is Downloadable Content - AKA DLC. Also tnaylor I want them to make a DLC that continues the Blades, Civil war and Thalmor because these things are all linked together, and aren't really finished up at the end of the game. Speaking of which, I really wish that they made the civil war in this game similar to New Vegas, so you could be either Stormcloak, Imperial or Independent (work with/take over the Blades, recruit a lot more, upgrade Sky Haven Temple, etc.). Whoever you side with would control Skyrim at the end of the game (even now there still isn't technically a High King even if you finish the civil war quest).

It's a big DLC. Expansion Packs exist on physical copies. Dragonborn doesn't. Therefore, it's a DLC.

Episodes from Liberty City, for example, is an expansion pack, for there is a physical copy of it.

Dear Santa,

I did not get dragonborne for christmas do to the boot lickers at bethsoft and the politicians at Microsoft.

So I would like a wish in the form of a gift, help Apple and Google destroy the infamous white collared daedric lords located in Redmond Washington known as Microsoft. I'd ask for Sony to play a part in this but they'd only stick there head in the sand and hope for the best rather then fight.

1 more thing make this happen, before December the 21th. At first i thought the mayans were a bunch of bored people with nothing better to do. But now that the United States has stated they promiss the end wont come on the 21th i am now building a bunker so please expedite this.

Bestregards,
Neighborhood Phantom.

A special message to those hating on Microsoft.

I would rather get the DLC slightly later on PC as they would have (Hopefully) ironed out some of the inevitable bugs and glitches. Also don't forget we get mods! Xbox gamers just have to make do with what they are given.

To be honest I would rather Microsoft get it early, instead of complaining I shall take the time to download some new mods to entertain myself.

My brother plays skyrim on the xbox, and i must say the dlc looks great, goblins and spears, plus dragon riding, im sure when the dlc comes out, we will see goblin races for us to play with, longer spears and more realistic spears (maybe even new animations) and riding some amazing new dragons.. so basicly not only does the dlc give us more time to play skyrim, but it also opens up new modding possibilities...

The Bethesda Softworks marketing people are referring to it as an "add-on", which personally I prefer more than "DLC" so thats the terminology that I will be using to refer to it as well.

I've been playing it for the 360 and it's a lot of fun. Its a lil buggy but I think a new TU will take care of that. I imagine will get two more dlc packs for skyrim before it's done. Any more than that and it would run out of room for a single disc.
