@dwarfofwar: except that they won't. Bethesda never patches any of their DLC ever. Whatever they break stays broken.

@Dwarf: Firstly, Bethesda rarely patches their bugs unless it's through an entirely new game where the engine is less buggy than the previous version. Secondly, if this DLC came on time rather than having exclusivity, the modders, who have demonstrated far better debugging skill than the Bethesda team, would have been able to tackle the bugs earlier, thus delivering you, the consumer, a less glitchy product in one month than five years of exclusivity to Xbox would have ever given you.

This is about money. It's not to iron out bugs using Xbox users as the guinea pigs. It's because you as a PC user have been put in a lower priority than an Xbox user because Microsoft has money. If you choose to enjoy such an idea, that's up to you, but don't hate me for disliking being disregarded for the sake of profit.

I'm simply not the kind of guy who can sit here and be like "Hell yeah! I'm receiving content late because money! Yeah! I get to play things later than someone else! WOOO!" Don't hate me for being human.

While playing I feel like I've come across some new bugs that maybe were from the dlc. It's hard to be sure with xbox version but my players attacks as well as other game animations seem to end abruptly sometimes now. Like if you get the dwarven sphere follower and pull out a weapon, he does his opening animation but sometimes it will skip the anim and he's suddenly all folded out. Even with weapon swings sometimes it will end abruptly and jar back to standing position instead of following the swing a bit. Strange things I suppose. It got a little annoying after I noticed it.

Why are people believing that Bethesda is going to release an expansion like Shivering Isles? Shivering Isles came out a year after Oblivion was released. Now we are in that same time frame with Skyrim and Bethesda has not even hinted at an expansion on that scale. They also have other projects to work on. Also, I've been a loyal Bethesda customer for years and I'm extremely disappointed that they decided to give Xbox players special treatment when it comes to the Dragonborn DLC. I seriously doubt that they are using that extra month to work out bugs since every DLC they've shipped has been full of them.

@apoptosis2: My thoughts exactly. And even with the Dawnguard beta testing, the DLC still launched with bugs out the wazzo. So, what was the point of the beta testing, besides getting extra hype and some of their fans to be bug testers in place of their own staff? From what I've seen of Dragonborn also, and no spoilers, I promise, but it doesn't interest me. The locations may induce nostalgia, but that's all they do. And I doubt I'm the only one who sees this DLC as little more than a twenty dollar modders rescource. Which is funny since four of the armor sets were already made by husky here, long before this DLC was even announced. (They look VERY similar to each other from what I've noticed.) That and since we've already been to Solstheim in the third game, it's not an expansion pack either. It's a retred of an old location dressed up in new clothing. However, something about this game crossed my mind yesterday. Isn't Bethesda taking development time, and possibly bug-testing time, away from new projects when they keep releasing buggy as all get out games and DLC like this? If they have to keep working on patches to their current game because they didn't do a great job in the first place, then what does that say about their next project?

For me, the best thing i have to look forward to with Dragonborn is that after this, we get DLC the same time as xbox, so no more having to wait around for a PC version while youtube videos of the DLC pop up, and then me having to refrain from watching them to avoid spoilers.

@agentbj09, I'm going through my second Skyrim playthrough now that the semester is over and I have free time. By the time Dragonborn is released and modders make it playable (a few more months at least), I'm just not going to have the time to play and I'll be burned out on the game anyways. You bring up a good point, Bethesda should focus on their next title instead of releasing half-baked DLC. Here's hoping that it's Fallout 4!

What I don't understand is why the xbox still got the dlc first, to my understanding bethesda had an agreement with microsoft that the first 2 dlcs for skyrim would release on the xbox 1 month before the pc and ps3 versions and we had dawnguard the first dlc , hearthfire was the second so why is dragonborn the third dlc for skyrim releasing at least a month before the others the deal was only for the first 2.

yes I know this is a run on sentence its late and I'm to lazy to deal with proper punctuation

Lots of complaining. Just pretend that Xbox doesn't exist and never got the DLC first, and that it's coming out exclusively for PC in January. There. Don't you feel better now? Oh, and also pretend that the game still doesn't work for PS3, and that the new content was never released for it. Oh, wait...
