I do NOT want cartoonish graphics. I DO want a MMO that looks realistic, and the lore is made by the players. The thing that attracted me to the elder scrolls, is that it's combat was swords, and magic, and everything combined. In the trailer its just some badly animated, cartoonish avatars running around blasting unreal looking fire and spells at each other. I enjoy the swordplay in skyrim, and the spells like fire, which are at least somewhat believable. In the trailer, when a guy hits another guy with his sword, a blue glow of junk appears under the person hit and it looks ugly and unrealistic! I mean, if I want running around mindlessly shooting cartoonish stupid looking spells at each other, I might as well be playing LOL or something.

Actually, I understand what Nomeyofdoom said, and to that I say:...I've no idea how PvP would work, simply cause they don't say anything about it on this video, if memory serves. They do talk about servers and phasing, but as for WvW (World versus World :P) and PvPing, no idea, I haven't read articles about this game...if there are any to be had that shed some light on it. Not that I've put much effort into finding some. @ Animist I welcome another old fossil, and relic like you! :D (I say it in a good way.) Kinda late in the game to complain that there is no Str, Agi, etc, when Skyrim itself works more with perks than stats. Frankly I don't remember the character creation in Daggerfall as well as I'd like, but...Yeah, I know that it was even better and more RPGing than Morrowind. And the enchanting system was also nice...also something laking nowadays.

This is awesome that they explained some misconception on the game and not all of it is very nice. There might be something down the line that people might misinterpret something else and complain about it. The idea of elder scrolls going online has been with me, my brother, and my sister since oblivion cause that was the first elder scrolls game that we played. Then when they announced that es was going online, my brother didn't like it till he saw the trailer and liked the idea again. Yay for ESO!!!!!!! \(^_^)/

It's good to hear that Elder Scrolls Online won't be replacing Elder Scrolls 6. Although I'm looking forward to Elder Scrolls Online, I don't want the Massively Single-player Offline Role Playing Game trend to die out :P

Nothing much new here yet. Will wait and see if it has anything worth looking at later.

Heavy pew pew and flashy graphics doesn't cut it past about the first 12/15 hours. ESO really needs to think about this, I've heard no feature or system that is anything new yet.

On PVP specifically - 3 Factions is a good start however, someone with a little bit of sense at least started the pvp design off right, but we'll wait and see if world pvp is cohesive enough with the random shard system to be of value.

I think it's a terrible idea that you can't go into enemy factions I think you should be able to but you get attacked by guards and players just like WOW and don't think that I shouldn't relate to WOW it's pretty much the most successful MMORPG out there.

I always dreamed about how awesome an ES game would be online. ESO is not bringing any of those ideas to the table, and I'm not really interested. This is obviously a jump on the cash-cow of the ES series, specifically with the success of Skyrim. It's a damned shame really - at some point a MMO will arise with new ideas and gameplay features that will be as revolutionary as WoW was; ESO will not be that MMO.

I think it is too early to bash this game, I am willing to wait and see till this is out and decide if it is good or if it sucks
