Hmm, i like the whole levels as you use it skill, i wonder how much of a level up there will be for that skill though o.o? Also why no player housing? That's one of the wonderful features about Elder of Scrolls, kill a person, you get their house hahaha..... i can understand not wanting the mass slaughter of NPCs but still, decorating my house with useless s*** acquired in my travels is one of the more entertaining things for me personally, not to mention that in an mmo it'd be even more fun considering you could invite your buddies over to either be impressed or horrified at how you decorated your abode. Also ugh... why factions T_T? Why can't everyone just hate everyone? Then again can't really comment too much on this since sadly race never seems to be too much of a factor in the Elder of Scrolls even if the main story is centered around it (IE a Dark Elf siding with the stormcloaks)... In any case hearing that skyrim will be as big as skyrim is currently is comforting, and despite all the complaints about the art style I'm actually not really too concerned about it, more so interested in seeing how the combat works out.

Also i really really hope they add in a crap load of armor/weapons and/or make it so people can design/suggest armor/weapon designs to make up for all the shitloads of armor mods that will be missing :(

Overall, I think i might be willing to try this out for a month...

Interested to see how it goes, not that interested in playing it.

Sounds a lot like it's instanced and "Yet another MMO" to a large degree.

Game companies need to develop gameplay not just IP.

agreed, I was realy hoping that an MMO Elder Scrolls would stick with classic Elder Scrolls gameplay. That why I enjoy elder scrolls games, its not the story, the lore or the character (though they are all great)

The reason I enjoy TES games is because it is a first person RPG that lets me BE my character instead of an omnipresent hand floating in the sky.

TES Online is changing that too much. Hotbars , restricted class skills and silly abilities like 'oil barrels' just makes me sad. I don't want an MMO with a tes flavour, I want a TES mmo... (well, actualy I'd prefer a local multiplayer TES even more)

While it certainly isn't the online version of Skyrim, recent videos that properly explain the game have, for the first time, given me some interest in ESO. I certainly will not purchase it at launch, since I have been burned by MMO's many times (Warhammer, Conan, Aion, etc.), but I will be keeping an eye on it to see where it goes.

What they are trying, many have failed. Like SWTOR for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic.

@mikethorgeo In reply, yes it will cause changes, kill off or harm Bethesda? Unlikely, this is Zenimax covering all the bases, think about it. They haven't TOUCHED the multiplayer market, there is a rather deep well of untouched pockets out there, the pvpers, the social role players, the people that just like to talk to other people while they play? All of them, will now have an Elder Scrolls game that may just appeal to them more then some single player game they can't play with their friends. So, really the most changes we might see is changes in future game play, if Bethesda thinks Zenimax Online did something amazing? They might use it too, and vice versa though, it would go both ways, making it so the players would honestly have a rather large voice in BOTH games, still, if not larger as the people that play the MMO decide to try out the single player games. Honestly they aren't trying to get the people that play Skyrim with this, this is trying to get the competitive mmo players into Elder Scroll games, even if those that play the TES games already will have the biggest incentive to buy it, just by knowing the world. I think it's more likely they are trying to hit a separate target audience to begin with, having people that will at least give the game a shot right off the bat just gives them more reason to give it a try anyway. So that's why I think if it has any effect on Bethesda it will be minimal, or maybe it will be monumental, but if it is simply meant to be a game designed to hit a different target audience to begin with I doubt that Bethesda will be borrowing much from their game mechanics. Sorry for the wall, I just wanted to continue what I mentioned earlier.

After reading 5 pages of comments, it seems like this video hasn't helped at all.

I am just going to wait and see. I have enough games in the meantime to keep me occupied. If it does well then great! If it doesnt then that okay too. It wont make TES:6 any less of a hit and it would make Morrowind, Oblivion, or Skyrim any less moddable.
