@mikethorgeo In reply, yes it will cause changes, kill off or harm Bethesda? Unlikely, this is Zenimax covering all the bases, think about it. They haven't TOUCHED the multiplayer market, there is a rather deep well of untouched pockets out there, the pvpers, the social role players, the people that just like to talk to other people while they play? All of them, will now have an Elder Scrolls game that may just appeal to them more then some single player game they can't play with their friends. So, really the most changes we might see is changes in future game play, if Bethesda thinks Zenimax Online did something amazing? They might use it too, and vice versa though, it would go both ways, making it so the players would honestly have a rather large voice in BOTH games, still, if not larger as the people that play the MMO decide to try out the single player games. Honestly they aren't trying to get the people that play Skyrim with this, this is trying to get the competitive mmo players into Elder Scroll games, even if those that play the TES games already will have the biggest incentive to buy it, just by knowing the world. I think it's more likely they are trying to hit a separate target audience to begin with, having people that will at least give the game a shot right off the bat just gives them more reason to give it a try anyway. So that's why I think if it has any effect on Bethesda it will be minimal, or maybe it will be monumental, but if it is simply meant to be a game designed to hit a different target audience to begin with I doubt that Bethesda will be borrowing much from their game mechanics. Sorry for the wall, I just wanted to continue what I mentioned earlier.
