"They do not talk about every misconception about the game in the video, but the most prominent ones are covered."

That's the line people should've read and paid attention to, yet they don't, and hence the video wasn't really useful for them. Best to watch out for more stuff in the future, eh?

Regardless, kudos to them for clearing some stuff out, really good video.

I'm not going to listen to people ramble on about a game that hasn't come out yet especially if it isn't the developers.

They shouldn't have cleared up the misconceptions, for I'll be passing on this now that I know there will be autotargeting. I was holding out hope for real targeting, but now what we have is another click-combat WOW-style game devoid of real tactics where pvp will amount to people doing silly spin dances around one another trying to foul up one another's autotargeting.

When will developers learn that coming into the mmo market without something innovative and original is like walking into the arena in Cyrodil at level one with an iron dagger? I give it six months post launch before it gives up the ghost and goes free to play.

Isn't this what Bioware said about SWTOR? I still haven't heard anything about KOTOR 3.

Like it or not, they have limited amount of people they are willing to hire and this will likely be a shift of developers to work on it.

The idea that your faction is restricted to one region is quite a bummer. =( I was hopping to be able to explore the entire game with one character; but, this sorta forces a player to be an altomer. Ha ha get it?

From this and all the other information I've found regarding ESO, I’m cautiously optimistic. It looks promising, but it also looks potentially disastrous. Combat looks interesting, with the basis being that of Skyrim, with the addition of hotkey abilities at face value seems amazing. However, what concerns me about it is targeting. The video’s description of ESO’s targeting failed to assuage my concerns. Is the targeting like GW2 where your attacks can hit mobs that you are not targeting?

The lack of info regarding payment for the game itself concerns me a bit. While it’s understandable that this early in development, the payment system may not be conceptualized yet, but since early rumors stated that it would be sub based makes me nervous.

In terms of modding, I’m ambivalent. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE modding in games, particularly Elder Scrolls games. At the same time, I've played a few MMORPG’s in my lifetime, and I understand the problems with modding in those games. Now, some of the ideas others have posted here like community made gear would be interesting to see implemented.

Phasing, area restrictions, auto targeting. This is a game I will be passing.

Sadly I foresee a crash and burn game. A "smart server"? Bad idea!
