it is intentional, yes. if you have a soldier selected, you can push F1 to open the status screen, it will tell you what effects are currently active on that character and a description. its a great way to learn how things work!

Hi.
Can anyone tell me if this mod has altered chance to hit in anyway. I'm a vanilla xcom veteran, but after installing this mod and playing for a few days I genuinely have no idea whether the shots I take are more likely to hit or not. What I mean is the % indicator seems to have no real bearing i.e. missing 80 - 99% shots and hitting with shots as low as 30% (I'm usually forced into taking 30% shots, as getting close to sectoidswith their psi attacks is a challenging task with a bunch of weak willed rookies.)
I'm genuinely plopping in my pants every time I go to take a shot - xcom vanilla was never this intense (good); or frustrating (bad).

You might try turning off shot cinematics, which *may* bias some shots into misses, as the physics simulator may interfere. But I've tested the general RNG without cinematics and am confident it is working correctly.

Just out of curiosity, as I am going through this playthrough, has anyone else experienced getting the shredded debuff while sitting within acid?

By cinematics, you mean turn off "Show Action Cam" or "Enable third-person cam"?
Sometimes the cinematics sure do seem to interfere with the hit chances, where the same sort of short usually misses with bullets but usually hits with plasma as the plasma destroys intervening obstacles.
Has anyone 100% verified this behavior?

I'm afraid I'm not sure which one is thought to be the trigger.

I find the realization that all of us have a save from the end of May and we're just sitting here clicking refresh very amusing.
