@calfurius: I do think 'Greybeards' is conscious, perhaps inspired by Gandalf the Grey. Is it spelt like that in American editions? It was in the movies, if I remember correctly.

But mostly I'm just exaggerating for fun :-)

I'm currently working on a Khajiit RP... I had forgotten your mod, thank you for reminding me of it :)

A lot of Americans get their spellings of words that have alternate spellings confused. Don't fret over it. I'm pretty sure that even if you used 100% British spellings, 99% of the users wouldn't notice or care.

I'm an American and I like "grey". In case that helps the decision-making at all. :P

I'd sign your petition! I laughed so while reading this-I'm so glad I'm not alone in my frustration. I am an American who attended English primary school. I've been battered by my American English teachers/professors my entire life over the spelling of grey.

Actually both grey and gray are used in America. And I doubt any one cares if you use traveller instead of traveler. Same with armour instead armor or other basic spelling conflicts. Those spellings are still intelligible to American English. I would care more if you used boot for trunk or something like that.
