Apologies if this has already been requested (I haven't read the whole thread) but would it be possible to implement the "Sort by install date" feature in the "classic" view? It works fine on the categorised view, but that's less useful (unless you have all your mods in one category).

I just updated to 0.42.0 last evening. So thoughful, incorporating a number of little suggestions from this thread. Thanks!
A new feature I'm excited about is being able to turn off the right hand side pane. (For mods I'm really familiar with, I don't need to see all that.) I did have a little trouble figuring out if it was working or not. So a tip for anyone else using that feature: Highlight a mod on the list, hit the new Toggle icon to the left, and then go highlight a different mod. You'll see the toggled effect begin to persist after that.

Categories get a little annoying when your running just about 200 mods at once; and the last time I tried to remove my categories it made most of my mods invisible. THIS MESSED ME UP BIG TIME. Is there anyway I can easily move all my mods into one category?

Twaylveh: Just switch the view back to the old style (2nd button from the bottom on the left-hand side of the "Mod" tab) - that's what I do. I do like the idea of the categories, but I find it much easier to find what I'm looking for with the old style, especially given that some of the mods I have could easily fit in multiple categories.
*edit* Was just playing around and found an even better solution: While in the "Category" view click on the arrow next to the "Categories" button (3rd one from the bottom) and you can select "reset all mods to unassigned" - doing that allows you to "sort by install date" too so my question above is now (mostly) redundant. It's fairly quick to switch back to the default categorisation as well should you wish to.

Awesome! .42 that is. Well I saw the .42.1 update just fixed a bug with dark souls though I imagine it maybe fixed more but that's all that showed. Anywho those previous mods mentioned from last time that disappeared never reappeared for obvious reasons BUT the newer ones are there, AND it's a smooth running machine. I love that I can turn off the side panel because I hated clicking on a mod just for that to pop in and take half of the screen and all I could see is the mod category lol it's useful for checking out the newest version of a mod that claims to be outdated so making it toggle-able (spell check) was a nice touch. I haven't experienced any NMM crashes it feels more stable than before. Keep up the good work Ladies and Gents! Kudos and Props.

0.44.1 Seems to have some issues. When you instal an updated Mod, it doesn't uninstall the older one, when you do that yourself & attempt to remove it. The NMM freezes up & I have to force shut it down.

Also it seems mods are not going in the proper section, they all seem to go to Unassinged

I am having the same issue, and whenever I hit the check for updates button (mods) it crashes.
