Not to sure what you have been accused of being here? I've only stated facts pertaining to your postings. My sincere apologies if I made you feel like you were being accused of anything.

That wasn't directed at you, it was directed at the software companies for assuming that all of their customers are dishonest thieves who's only goal in life is to rip them off.
Ironic, considering that it's the software companies that are trying their damndest to do away with 'second-hand sales' because they claim it hurts their business,
It's the ONLY industry that makes this claim, but if they get their way through legislation, how long will it be before you have to return your
car to the dealership you bought it from so they can re-sell it and make yet a SECOND profit from it?

That's what irritates me the most about the software companies, they actually whine about losing sales, because someone is tired of the game they bought, and
wants to sell it to someone else (used, of course), and somehow the software industry is crying 'FOUL'
This is why EA and others are moving to 'online all the time' games and 'limited activation' games.

The public wouldn't put up with any other product that could only be used a certain number of times, and couldn't be resold at a lawn or garage sale, yet
the software industry thinks that ideal is perfectly OK.

I wish people would join together and BOYCOTT these companies and hit them where it hurts, in their wallet.

If everybody boycotted EA, and let EA know WHY they were boycotting them, the only choice EA would have is to change their practices and comply if they ever wanted business again.

That's why I think sites like kickstart, and indie games like Darwinia, Botanicula etc are getting more notice, because people are slowly tiring of the 'big industry'

All I see is the graphics getting more and more realistic, but at the cost of game features and length in order to port them to the aging hardware of consoles.
(Console hardware is from 2007, people have been updating their PC's since then)
Skyrim is a good example, Much better graphics than Oblivion and Morrowind, but also missing the Spellmaking aspect of the game which was really fun.

Every EA game I've played (I've since stopped buying any of their releases, after they helped butcher Mass Effect and Dragon Age) starts to look the same.
They practically get the same interface, to where you almost have to check to see which game you're playing.

Mass Effect 1 had a LOT of options to build your character, a lot of stats/skills to increase, then EA bought Bioware, and Mass Effect 2 all of a sudden only had a handful of stats/skills to increase,
Mass Effect 3 had even less stats/skills to increase, it's like EA made them change Mass Effect from a Space RPG to a Run and Gun Space Shooter with RPG elements,

Dragon Age II turned into a mindless hack and slash game with pathetically LAZY dungeon design by using the SAME Maps, just sections of the map closed off, and even lazier was
you could see the entire layout of the reused map in the mini-map screen.

Comparing Dragon Age I with Dragon Age II, Before and After EA bought Bioware respectively, Dragon Age II was absolute rubbish and didn't even resemble the Original.
To add insult to injury it even had cookie cutter generic cliché companions such as the angst-ridden JRPG clone whiny Elf Final Fantasy type lame-O,
and the weird Winona Ryder looking whiny evil-but-good psycho-chick......bleh

Bioware for me, was at one time an Immediate Purchase just from seeing the Bioware Logo, just like long ago, I would instantly purchase any game that had the familiar and long since dead INTERPLAY logo on it.

EA is murdering the game industry and people are sitting back and letting them do it.

"Just because they can do it doesn't mean they should, nor does it make it right (morally, not legally)."

Never said they should, I simply stated the facts of which we are bound.

"The majority should not be punished for what a minority does. We should not be punished because a select few decide that piracy is okay to do."

Never said we should be punished. Though once again we are. This applies to so many other things in this world as well.

"Other than this, the idea that you can only see a EULA or agreement of any kind online is such a bulls*** argument. It has the same problems with online activation requirements: It assumes far too much."

It was never an argument, again I simply stated the facts. This online EULA is one them. Activation online required, a company then can only be left to assume that access to the EULA is available. See how that works?

The only way it will ever change is with us not drinking their milk if you will...

Steamstore states that Dragonborn DLC will be available in Feb.6 and not Feb. 5th. Delaying it more for a day? add: I don't know why Skyrim isn't stable enough for others. I'm running it with 118 mods (including Hires textures and K enb), I didn't experience crashes and I played it till my eye or head bleed. And the game is a year old already.:D

I'm so glad I'm not the only person playing this tune, you so hit that on the nail and I've argued the same point in many a post/discussion over the past few years. Bigger is rarely better, it only adds up to a attempted monopoly and the only one who benefits then is the holder of said monopoly or near monopoly. Humans are naturally oriented towards seeking out value and respond positively to being treated with respect and dignity. EA is a perfect example of a company that blocks the one, and considers the other not worth their time. The sad fact is they're right, thanks to the effectiveness of politically correct social programming, and people rarely want to inconvenience themselves by standing up for their beliefs and doing without. They'd rather complain about how lame the product is and have bragging rights about how easily they defeated it. As the old saying goes, lying on a bed of nails and complaining about how much it hurts don't stop the pain, getting up and walking away from it does.

I just miss being able to hold the game in my hand that I just bought and able to load it ALL from the disk. Activation online isn't a big deal for me but having the huge load time from online is. I would rather pop in the disk and load it myself...The good ole days when the Majority ruled instead of the Minority dicatating rules for the Majority.

To anyone who is curious, if you pre-order, it actually displays the amount of time left before it will be released. I'm reading the page right now, it says it will be out in 14 hours, which is around 2pm Eastern time.

The same with me, but i Hate these kind of Internet Second Hand Programs like Steam and Windows Live where you either have to wait for the Game to be Activated or wait till that Update is finished.

It isent the old days no more where you just Buy a Game and Play, then you can get a Patch separately.
