I recently bought the GoTY from Gamestop.com and downloaded and installed just fine. I tried to run the Overhaul 3.0 (on a completely unmodded vanilla install) and when it gets to the Morrowing code patch portion it says:

Analyzing Morrowind.exe...
Backing up Morrowind.exe to Morrowind.Original.exe
There is no compatible patch for your version of Morrowind.exe. Make sure your Morrowind is patched with the last Bloodmoon patch (v.1.6.0.1820). MCP is not compatible with the Impulse download version due to the DRM wrapper around the game program. If you should have a compatible version, please check you have not installed other patches such as Exe Optimizer, 4GB patch or no-CD patches. Check the readme for more details.
Patch failed to apply.

Is this a problem with the fact that I purchased the Gamestop.com version? Is the Gamestop.com version also known as the "Impulse" download?

And is there any known workaround?

Have you installed everything properly? Morrowind, then Tribunal then Bloodmoon? I would download all of the official patches if you can (you should only need one for Tribunal and Bloodmoon as Bloodmoon would bring MW up to date). Try that first, if that doesn't work reinstall and try, try again.

Yes it has nothing to do with your install it's the mod for some reason it doesn't recognize digital downloads through Gamestop
