I'm running a paid for full suite of Antivirus etc right now. I started it before I opened Google. Just so I could be on the safe side. :- ( Several times Google Chrome literally would not shut down after I first got it. When I followed the proper steps to shut down I got the message, "Google did not shut down properly would you like to send a report?" That was right after I clicked on the close browser button. That may explain what has been going on with Google Chrome. I closed Google in steps I follow so I did it correctly. After I was done I cut off the link to my modem. This morning when I opened up the link to my modem, clicked on Google Chrome, and prepared for a start page there was a message saying, "Google hadn't closed down properly". I clicked OK to restore Google Chrome and every page I visited while surfing to look up links from friends on the Nexus were all displayed as though I had not signed out. I clicked to see if the links were active, and a reload function occurred, and when the page came back I got the Nexus page error message that I wasn't properly signed in. Of course I wasn't. I signed out of all the pages relentlessly before I closed the Google Chrome. I shall call it, "Google Crasher".

Or, you can use a linux based system, so browsing from there is a bit safer. :)

Oh, it's true, linux has virus too, but most of the hackers spend time going for the easy and obvious target, so they usually don't bother with the linux distros. :) Anyway, if you have one, have AVG or AVAST installed too (they have linux versions). :)

I just realized I better add this report. After reloading Google and signing into the Forum page. Only the Forum page mind you.

I opened the skyrim.nexusmods.com page and found that I was not signed out.

Your absolutely correct about " Norton " I bought an anti virus disc off them and it had a virus already installed on the disc , so i found out later when i decided to click NO to the upgrade button when my anti virus expired on Norton . A genius friend who built my pc found it . They have the coin to push their product , that's it ! Thank you Dark0ne for the heads up .

I'm assuming that by "had a virus already installed" you're referring to malware OTHER than Norton Antivirus?

I personally trust the Nexus domains. I've been using them for quite some time now and I have never once had my computer infected by them. I also have been very grateful of the Nexus developers for the easy to use interface that has been provided to all of us to share our content. To anyone reading this article with concern, there is nothing for you to worry about. The Nexus is a safe gaming community and game modding website. Regardless, anyone using the internet without an AntiVirus program such as Norton, McAfee, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, etc will soon learn that it was a bad idea not to have one. We live in an age of technology and with great technology comes great responsibility. Also, I hate to be the guy that says it but I think I should. I disagree with Dark0ne about Norton. I use the Norton Internet Security Suite and it's been the best anti-virus software that I have ever owned. I have owned all the big namers and I personally would endorse Norton Internet Security over any of them. Might be a good idea to edit your post there Dark0ne as Norton ranked number 3 on TopTenReviews dot com for 2013 winning the Bronze reward. I'm pretty confident in TopTenReviews dot com and they tend to know what they are talking about. I'm just saying that stating it isn't good is an opinion and not even close to being a fact. It has been tested and confirmed to be a very good anti virus program.
