I am comparing the tribunal items to the Morrowind ones (for the time being I am only concentrating on clothing items).
I have noted that in MW there are certain items that also appear in Tribunal but with a different id (but the same name). For example in MW you have:
ring_phynaster_unique
ring_vampire_unique
ring_warlock_unique
but in Tribunal you also have these names plus things with id:
ring_phynaster_unique_x
ring_vampire_unique_x
ring_warlock_unique_x
Also only in Tribunal you have robe_lich_unique and robe_lich_unique_x as well.
Needless to say this twins have the same name in the game i.e. both are called phynaster ring. Are there really two dinstict items in the game? Or is the x some kind of parameter that changes on the item?
I am spending a lot of time trying to track down items so I just wanted to know if I am just wasting my time looking for items I already have.
Thanks.

The 'x' is added when you donate the item to the museum of artifacts. The acutal artifact disappears and is replaced on its specific display stand with the 'x' artifact. This is done so the devs could individually enable the artifacts, triggered in the dialogue with the Curator.
