You don't have to do the main quest. You kill him to become the leader of Redoran, not just Hortatoryeah i remember that part but my guy isnt going to do the main guest
. ive pretty much decided to go after those souls like Eiade said. but not before i get that Umbra sword RAWR
! is that one even better than Chyrismire (spl)?
im also surprised someone didnt say "taunt a guy to atk, its perfectly legal main!"
Are Redoran and Legions really that cheap?

ok this might be a little OT but i didnt want to waste the boards resources on another thread so: Im on the redoran quest where you have to track down a mad man and you find that hes mad b/c his daughter is in Tel Fyr. i know the room shes in but the lock lvl is 60 and my Sec. is @ 5. i seem to remember there being a general Tel Fyr Key or Diviath's Key or somethig like that (with no numbers) that would open the door. well i looked all over the tower and in a few w/t's and i still dont know where it is!

I believe that key is down in the corpusium, but you wont want to go down there unless you have corpus already, because they will attack you. But down in the Corpusium, there are chests, and if you open them in the right order (they are spread out, but laid out in a path) they will all have some Dwemer object (i.e. a cup or spoon or something (I cant remember any other various Dwemer house hold items) and a key to the next chest. In the last chest in the corpusium, there will be a key to the chest that is next to Divath Fyr. There is some nifty stuff in there. I've looked before (I saved then killed him and broke in. Dang, hes powerful too...) but I'm not sure if he'll kill you for taking anything, so I would be careful before you do.
As for the lady in the locked room, I havent a clue. All i could suggest is that you either find an Odunsi's Unhinging scroll/spell (scrolls are pretty common in Smugglers Caves. I've gotton like 17 out of a couple of caves before) because they unlock up to 65, so you better hope they do it that time, or get an Ekash's Lock Splitter. That opens up to 100, but its very hard to find. INfact, there are only 3 scrolls in the game (not including any mods someone might have included them in). I have gotton one only once. I stupidly tried to break into Vivec's temple to peek-a-boo on him and he was pissed off that I didnt ask to come so I poked him with my Silver Claymore and he unleashed his God Power on me and I was a sizzeling corpse on the floor with a very hot melted metal blob in my hand. Anyways, I think the only place you can bet on finding them is SOMETIMES on someone in the Mages Guild. Thats where I bought mine and they cost 323 gold I believe. (I have the CS open). I hope that answered your question, if not sorry. I'll go jump off a cliff if I dissapointed you.

I'm pretty certain the lock-splitter spells are not limited to three. They tend to replace the Ondusi spells in random loot as you level up. To get to the girl, have a spellmaker create a spell to open at 100, it's not so expensive (as long as you have a reasonable level of suitable magic ability).
Divath Fyr will not stop you stealing from his locked chests but don't try and steal money from the table behind him. (I do not know what else he gets upset about). However it is a bad idea to kill him until you have completed the main quest.

Unless the editor has something wierd going on, then there are just three, but those open up to 100 locks. The Odunsi's Unhinging there are tons of. But I believe there is a spell for Ekash's Lock Splitter that you can learn.

maybe thats why?(i wonder why my suggestions are always so....illegal)
anyway im done with the legion quests (and somehow got two Chrysameres). but now im having trouble with one of the redoran quests. where you have to go cure a noble gone mad. (i already have the amulet) ive been told his place called Milk is b/t Ald ruhn and Mar Gan. grrr i cant find it! that area is like an un-navigable wasteland!
anyway i think the purpose of this thread has been served. if anyone else needs help with Legion or Redoran quests please post em here.

Google on Morrowind map and you'll get an interactive site where you can type in where you want to find and pinpoint it quickly. Also a search here will, I believe, lead to directions to Milk.

my word that cave isnt near the road to Mar Gan like that guy said! its not even in the ashlands, its all the way out west in the plains! well, i guess i learned never to take directions from an npc ever again. unless Sarethi is just navigationally challenged. whatever...

I usually do the soultrap one if i need some quick cash ^_^
I'd make sure you have PLENTY of soulgems, or azura's star if you're using umbra though(if the soultrap effect is constant, i can't remember) as everything you kill will be trapped. I've done that before and run out of gems by the time i got to something i wanted to trap).
