A BRILLIANT anti-update mod is 'Skyrim Unplugged'... it will refuse any update to skyrim from outside of the Steam bubble until YOU change it with the 'ok' button, no matter what updates and Steam resets there are it just refuses them.
setting your 'no updates' for skyrim is ok for a bit until Steam updates and resets all your settings... then you're baggered up again, Skyrim Unplugged sits on your 'C' drive not in Steam and says no from there, that way it never fails.
Skyrim 1.9 Beta Update now on Steam

About time for a new patch. And also that's how a patch is supposed to be, Bethesda. Maybe one day we can rely less on modding community when it comes to bug fixes.

Nice patch
and the Legendary stuff sound cool, i can't wait to try them out but since my Skyrim is heavily modded i think i will wait just to be on the safe side

I've never had this issue. Granted I also use the unofficial patch, but I'm not even sure if it fixed it or not. I just know I've saved during this quest inside without issue. Maybe I just got lucky.

@madpaddy
Your two handed ability doesn't determine what level of 2H weapons you can use. It only determines overall 2H effectiveness. Level progression determines what level of weapons you come along throughout the game.
Do you even Elder Scrolls?

Didn't see anything on it in the files. So it probably won't be for another couple of months, they have to patch the game for a DLC before they release it after all.

That has to be bar none the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen bethesda do. Why bother with perks at all then. Just have them automatically unlock once you get to a certain skill level like in Oblivion. *facepalm* It just sounds gimmicky to me.
It was bad enough they let you reset an entire skill tree in DB as many times as they want now you can get all the perks on top of that? Did they not learn from Obsidian when they kept increasing the level cap on everyone of their DLCs? After awhile perks in vanilla Fallout NV became meaningless because you can end up getting all the good ones anyways. Thank God for FWE
