Hearthfire: A console command or way to unadopt children?

My children have bugged and been buggy from the start. They still tell me that they need to pack up their stuff and say goodbye to everyone, even though they have been living with me for months. There is no option to talk with them, and I want to be able to enjoy the hearthfire experience.

Thus I want to unadopt them so that I can adopt them again and make it work. I need a way to reset them to an unadopted state, does anyone know how?

(I know that killing them doesnt do anything, they still count as adopted whether or not they are dead, and thus I cannot adopt anyone else even if I do this.)

Also of note is that live in Breezehome which I know is notoriously messed up and riddled with bugs.

I'm pretty sure that the adoption mechanism is something like

> IsadoptedState?

===>false

>BeginAdoptedstatequests on player xyz

Anyway, the point is, im pretty sure that its a quest stage

Thanks, I will try that from a previous save. I also noticed that if you uninstall hearthfire, load up your game and save, then reinstall hearthfire, your kids will be gone and back to their unadopted state. You will however, loose any houses that you have built and all the stuff inside.

Have the problem child selected during this

SetFaction BYOHRelationship xx004290 0

Exit Console

Give it a second then open Console

SetFaction BYOHRelationship xx004290 1

Now go readopt the child.
