I've tried both Pure Waters and W.A.T.E.R... I found that Pure Waters was (as you mentioned in your video about clarity) too clear in some areas, especially around the coasts. W.A.T.E.R. just manages to keep the lead because of its more realistic dirtiness. That said, there are some areas around the map where Pure Waters beats W.A.T.E.R. (small streams for eg.). But as you also mentioned, it's very much a matter of taste.

Both are fantastic though. It's amazing how talented these modders are at bringing us such excellent choices in how we enhance Skyrim.

Kudos to all of them!

Nice watermod, I've been using this one for quit some time already. You mentioned you're using FXAA for the extra rendering features. Though I wonder, why? There is a, for some time now, a much better tool out there (SweetFX) that's using SMAA in a very efficient way. I used FXAA almost since it was released first and loved it, but even though it comes with a GUI, it's all way's kind of hard to get right settings. SweetFX is configured trough a text file but it performs better and the rendered end result comes out much sharper and brighter.

Pure Waters' coastlines are maybe somewhat too clear, considering the location of Skyrim (this is based on 4.3 which I believe hasn't got the latest changes to make the waters in some places a little less transparent); the streams and rivers' clarity is just about right though, IMHO: if you go to somewhere where the environment is pretty much untouched by human activity you CAN get water that clear-- saw a lot of those kinds of rivers and streams on my last trip to China's Jiuzhaigou valley--- waters were so clear and blue-green, and you could see all the way to the bottom in the shallows, no problems. Temperature range at the time would have pretty much been Skyrim in (very) sunny weather, around 4-6 degrees Celcius.

Now if only Laast would get around to touching up the waterfalls.... XD
