Not sure why your grand daughters would feel she "HAD" to go, but Varta is right, you cant go blaming every MMO game do to your grand daughters need to go "socialize". Should she have been playing an MMO in the first place? If she cannot tell the difference from meeting with strangers to someone she would spend time with and get to know, then no, she should not be playing any trype of MMO... Well, to a point, just keep your eye on her. As for the beta, you could have always accept and let first come first serve to it. You must really be disappointed with her if you felt the need to expose something so personal, or your trolling.

Did not get it this time but, I am awaiting it eagerly. I wonder if they will at all let people mod the game to some extent? A community anything goes server would just be awesome... An actual ESO with moding capabilities... Until someone makes a god mode mod... Never mind, I don't want it no more.

I have no connections. I have never been selected for a triple a beta. I'm not even a very likable person, nor am I a particularly good judge of virtual character. I highly doubt that ZeniMax PR read my wall of text. So I ask myself . . . why did I get an invite? Anyone? any of the million marketing braniacs that comment sections seem to have in abundance happen to know?

Yeah, you should avoid MMOs because they'll just keep getting your grand daughter pregnant..

that sounds more like bad parenting, not an MMO's community problem. Millions of girls play MMOs and don't end up meeting people in them and become pregnant.

dont get me wrong, skyrim is good with moder made bugfixes and mod added content and modded quest, but if the elder scrolls online is as buggy as skyrim has been. ill wait. im not trying to make anyone mad not trying to troll either if i offend anyone i do sincerly appoligize, i am only trying to understand why most complaints from fans about bugs makes so many people attack the people that's complaining. i totally read some of the complaint's, studied said complaints, research it all in game, then decided wich complaints was right or wrong. this is what i think most people are failing to do before Accusing everyone that has a complaint of Trolling, The main problem most long time gamers have with skyrim wich causes them to get mad or angry and completly quit the game, wich i hate to see hapen becouse it damages the developers reputation and that of online fan sites, is that the characters just weren't really that memorable, and most quests boils down into: Go into caves A, kill draugurs B, slay boss C, done. Now oblivion, most people liked better, because there was a bit of effort into character design. For Example, Maiiq the liar, Sheogorath, martin, and so on. Skyrim just doesn't have that same sort of memorable feel. Still, It's a solid game, and I personaly like it . i just hate to think the same bad thing's in skyrim plus the bugs may be happening with the elder scrolls online. which scares me away from trying the beta untile i read the bug reports and player reviews to see if its worth buying,or if its just a WOW spinoff with bugs.

In response to post #7690967.

I payed £44.95 for SWTOR i payed for one months subscription then played it for 2 hours then uninstalled it and never played since. I was an avid fan of KOTOR 1 & 2, i use to mod those games. SWTOR failed fast to meet its targets financially, just goes to show that taking the MMO route has a 50/50 chance of being a very expensive mistake no matter how good the devs might think it is. I suppose that's why Beth won't put their name to it, "here, Zen, you do it" lol. When one thinks "SWTOR" one thinks "Titanic"

@ TheTaleofTrainMagic the bug in Skyrim, and ideed all TES and the last 2 Fallout games is the engine, its a huge mess of bugs, but the engine is what allows the game to do the things it does, massive seamless world and everything else, not to mention the ability to make it wasy to mod for.
TESO will not be ising this engine, it will be using an engine designed for MMO, I don't think TESO will have any more bug than any other decent MMO out there, so for me at least, the bugs present in other TES titles is not an issue for TESO

@ del_boy I paid £59.99 for the Digi Deluxe edition and done the exact same thing, was a decent single player game that I finihed in a timely fashion. I tried it again a few months ago when it went F2P only to be smacked constantly to become a paying subscriber

you are absolute right ESO  will be using a complete  different engine than any of the TES games both in game mechanics and combat

Bugs are not the fans concern  their main concerns is the content  and that the ESO developers , i hate to call them developers  are going to take TES on a complete different path  than what we the fans so enjoy about the TES franchise

I am convinced that not a single one of those developers ever played any TES game , they probably did but i m just making a point

If they ever played any  of the TES games they would not have gone with the locked factions system or the pre determined  classes concept

Secondly  the MMO concept they are using has one major flaw  and that it will be pretty hard to add new and balanced content to the game

Back  in DaoC they  could  add some outrageous  ideas to the game as content ( one of the last  expansions had something to do about atlantis  if i remember correctly)but in ESO they are stucked with   the lore  of TES and i am afraid  that eventually  more likely earlier than later they will throw that overboard  in order to  add content
