It's not necessarily that it's deep, but it's a hilarious thing to stumble across.

And SPEARS. They forgot about it on Skyrim, but they can still redeem themselves.

One other thing i enjoyed about fallout 3, was the minute details within houses, for instance, most of NV houses were empty, but in Fo3, some of them had skeletons in bathtubs with car batteries etc. It helps to convey the desperation and misery that made up the atmosphere of the wasteland. Just a shame that some of the npcs, Moira particularly, were the opposite of this.
"Enjoy" was probably the wrong word.

Yeah...not on steam. That'd be a great idea! There's so much better alternatives right? Those "fanboys" as you call them helped the game sell, nothing more. They wanted the game, they bought it. As for the half a billion in sales - you don't know anything about that because steam does not release info about that sort of thing.
I don't know what problems you have with steam but they are hilarious ones. Keep at it.

A better combat system.
I know it'll be hard to introduce a more elaborate combat system that would properly fit into the general gameplay of open world, yet we have some examples in very old games that pioneered into the field of non-linear pseudo-sandbox games... Super Mario 64, for example, had a nice variety and acrobatic approach to movement and combat (although 3D AI was very much in its earliest stages), The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask developed the stepping stone (for their time) of melee combat, exceedingly dynamic (if not a little turn based) and perfect ease of use for its complexity. Halo Combat Evolved also had a fairly nice approach of how to engage multiple targets and constantly be on the run, very similar to an older game called Jet Force Gemini. Duke Nukem, although a plain parody (like its predecessors), introduced interesting ways of indirect combat that some were actually adopted by Half Life, 1 being the laser tripbomb (on that, there was an unhealthy lack of tripping lasers in fallout, cliche but always welcomed), activating traps (more elaborate, mechanical ones, not just the casual tripwire).
These are just examples that I in no way intend to directly compare with the 3D Fallout games... since its an open world, creating controlled and localized combat is just impossible as the games I just mentioned... if anyone could come up with the idea of how to integrate both the open world, with the specialized combat system (melee, one on one, multitargeting, etc.), I think it'll be a true breakthrough in contemporary gaming.
(P.D: You know how awesome will it be to be able to fire 1 of those howitzers!? Moreover, in scripted battles, you can more than perfectly add some awesome vehicle rampage!)

Oh! and also, add some "On your stomach!" action... just crouching is getting boring.

Better stories, better characters, more complex role-playing system. And being able to live wherever the hell you want providing their are no occupants (even if it means "evicting" the previous ones). And more original! I highly, highly doubt that every single damned cow would mutate into a Brahmin and every scorpion a radscorpion and every human a ghoul. The mutations should be different according to location. And keep with the feel of Fallout 1 and 2, hell even with some changes that bring it closer to those titles.

That there sounds great! Buuut, I doubt such a thing will be implemented in any way that we can go "one of the highlights of the game".

Well I'm sorry if my post upset you dude but some people like different things, and ya' see... I bought my Skyrim game in box form from a SHOP! that's a place where you can buy things from people, however Skyrim only works through a Steam account... so all sales are Steam versions, logic really, Skyrim moved 3 1/2 million units in the first 2 days and shipped 7 million units to retailers (Shops) now, all you gotta do is do countin'
so once a gain 'sorry' but I prefer to install my game from a disc and play it when I want and update when I want... call me old fashioned but it's called control (to an extent)
Oh yeah ThexC...whatever Bye!

ok god damn i want fallout 4 to be this beautifully horrifying, nightmarish experience.
FALLOUT 3 + METRO 2033. I want a real dark experience, i want to feel compelled to survive, i want realistic bullet damage, scarce ammo and life altering moments of ecstasy filled terror. Not much to ask of i think
I dont want to feel like a gundam character walking around in tank armor with a mini-gun killing aliens for god's sake i want to no that if my mask runs out of clean air the radiation will debilitate (or alter?) my character, as with extensive combat damage or other random dealios.
