Sorry may be a stupid question.... but I have all the DLC and wan't to get rid of HF and DB for a while... is it as simple as unchecking it and all mods that depend on those DLCs like unofficial patches etc.?

Appreciate any help

To disable the additional content, yes. However, if you do this with a save game that's been using that dlc, you will almost certainly encounter CTD"s and other problems.

There may be some bugfixes and minor improvements that were included in the dlc that aren't disabled directly, but you probably won't notice those. Also, the resources (animations, sounds, visual effects) for the additional creatures quests and such will still be in your skyrim folder, but since nothing is referencing them they have no effect (kind of like having a tool you never use).

OK thanks, yeah I assumed I would have to start a new game and such. This 1.9 patch has been a major pain for me, lip/voice syncing is off and really annoying, and other things I won't go into. Thanks again for the help. Will give it a try. *cross fingers*

I doubt disabling the DLC will affect those issues, seeing as how they're likely related to the patch. But it's worth a try.

And I was noticing that lip sync issue too, I thought it was just my sound file lagging! Good to know that it could be fixed with the 2.0 patch.
