Steam has an offline Mode, an offline mode that WORKS mind you, I doubt you'll need Steam in the long run to do ANYTHING.

I have considered buying this new edition - Legendary - for PS3 and 360 - BUT - will they work on the new PS4 and new xbox720 ?? Will these new consoles be backward compatible with the older consoles ?? These questions have been asked but neither Microsoft or Sony have stated any facts about this. So, like many others, were holding back buying any new games until we hear what the verdict is. After all, at over 60$$+ a shot, might as well wait now. I feel the longer they take to announce either way - their loosing money. Unless, of course their not going to work on the newer consoles!!

it is true about the man blood invading first.. and mer the original descendants of aedra/daedra .. atmora was mans grounds and i am uncertain with high rock and how bretons obtained the tower exactly.. in the end man decides to wipe out tsaesci (vampire snake ppl) dragons.. elves.. and what ever else is in the interest of themselves.. while other races have lived longer and have a deeper recorded history.. now elves are not perfect the have enslaved man throughout history.. st. alessia etc.. but every race has had racism and slavery.. it actually goes back and forth.. argonians now are over morrowind instead of slaves to the dunmer.. so it will swing back a few more times i am sure.. As much as my characters love killing Thalmor- especially my Altmer who joined the Companions- I would totally give the Thalmor faction a playthrough.

So disappointed they never did this.

Masterchief, Steam takes so long to load, and it is a pain, often giving error messages about not syncing with the cloud. It's just another layer that can go wrong in running the game. However nice other features are on Steam, these can be annoying as hell. I just rather not deal with it. No surprise that I always play offline.

This game (TESV) is about Skyrim and its people, and that means Nords. Whether you play a Nord or not, the content reflects the geocentrism of the game. Nords have been fighting Elves since there have been Nords and Elves.

Skyrim won't be on PS4 or Xbox 720, those are new consoles that aren't even out yet and Skyrim is already two years old (ok one and a half).

The next big project will be on those two consoles though, you can likely bet your life on it. We may not even see a PC version, if the way game companies generally view the PC platform these days is any indication.
