In response to post #9884737.

If I were you, I would start with Requiem and the unoffical patches as the only mods and play a while. Then, in case you're missing something, add a single mod at the time and play a bit more (and save your game before adding the mod).

Adding 100+ mods at once is just mad. It will fail, and you don't know why. Furthermore you haven't the slightest idea which feature is implemented by which mod, which mods are duplicate and which mods will conflict.

If you however want a good basic set of mods, step is a good place to start. It is indeed a guide on how to install mods. Read the guide very carefully, use a mod manager that can uninstall and restore mods (I prefer Wrye Bash installer, very powerful tool but it's really a hardcore PC tool, you have to get used to it). Then look into the packs forum in the step forums, there is a requiem guide with step core. If you don't know exactly what you are doing you should just use that.
I hope that helps.

Spock

One question guys.

Does requiem work well with deadly combat and duel combat realism?

Don't know. Try it without them. Requiem is quite good.

My top 5 mods with requiem:

1) frostfall

2) realistic needs and diseases (with compatibility patch)

3) dragon souls - death is highly overrated

4) immersive patrols (with patch)

5) improved potion animations (drinking is not instant...it's just weird without this)

I'm getting back into Skyrim, and created this lost of mods for my next play through. I think none of them should conflict:

http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1307379-creating-the-best-requiem-experience/

I removed the old writeup. Too big for this place, but if you hit the link you can read everything.

Thanks
