Mods that synergize well with Requiem

1: Skyrim XP: It's a little buggy with Requiem but it does work, and it fits the more traditional feel of Requiem (Plus I've always hated the Elder Scrolls style of levelling.)
2: Civil War Overhaul: There's a patch to get this working well with Requiem and it's a lot of fun.
3: Interesting NPCs : The one big thing Requiem doesn't do to improve Skyrim is dealing with the writing and characters so this one is a must. Also it helps for putting together a good party of adventurers.

It brings much more variety to NPC so they got random height(can be adjusted for races), eyes and hair. Imagine you stroll through skyrim and on your way you encounter a little patrol. In vanilla this mostly looks like a clone army, but not anymore with this mod. It adds a great amount of immersion for me and it's a must have mod(should have been included in vanilla).
Its 100% compatible with requiem and fairly easy to use. Give that man some endorsements, he deserves it.

In my opinion Requiem should be played with a minimal set of mods. Requiem is essentially a different game, it edits a very large number of Skyrim assets and it has a different design structure than Skyrim and mods may often conflict with such design goals. For example, an obvious goal in Requiem is that it is impossible for one character to be great at everything. In Skyrim you can be a great warrior, a great mage and a great thief (and in latest versions there is even the "legendary skill" mechanism which allows for practically unlimited levelling), in Requiem you can be either a great mage or a great warrior or a great thief but not all of them together. So when you start adding mods that conflict with this design you are missing the point in Requiem: improved challenge.
There is also another important reason. Everyone knows that installing many mods is often risky and your game may stop at a point, quests may be impossible to complete and you have to start a new character (after fixing the mods). However, Requiem is a game that requires a lot of focus on your character's development, therefore adding a lot of mods may spoil the fun when you later discover of incompatibilities that will require starting a new character.
I play Requiem for a couple of months with the following mods & settings:
Mods
- Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp & Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp - Skyrim should never be played without these.
- Skyrim Misc Patches Collection (SMPC) - Additional fixes from a very user friendly author.
- SkyUI.esp - Again Skyrim should never be played without his.
- HouseOfHorrorsAlternateEnding.esp - Gives you the option to disobey Molag Bal in a certain quest.
- towBlockSteal.esp - Prevents accidental stealing.
- Headtracking.esp - You actually turn to look those talking to you in 3rd person view. Disable the option to look at corpses, otherwise you'll be doublefeeding on them as a werewolf.
- SkyRealism - Simple Save System - OOC - 10 min.esp - Save every 10 minutes out of combat. Though I play "ironman, dead is dead", this is a useful against crashes and bugs. It also allows me to disable Skyrim's internal autosave mechanism which is terrible
- AlwaysPickUpBooks.esp - Along with blocksteal this one is allows me to practice my OCD for picking up stuff without wasting time.
- Auto Unequip Ammo.esp - Hide arrows when not using a bow.
- RealisticNeedsandDiseases.esp - An important mod to complement Requiem. Hunger, Thirst and Weariness prevent most silly "grinding" techniques and add flavor to the game.
- Chesko_Frostfall.esp - Did you ever think that swimming in the frigid Sea of Ghosts north of Winterhold is a stupid idea? This mod fixes that.
- Requiem, RND, Frostfall AiO Patch.esp - Unifies RND and Frostfall with Requiem. It combines all patches with fixes and a lot of tweaks.
- Civil War Overhaul.esp - This patch is to the Civil War in Skyrim what Requiem is to Skyrim. Don't miss that one!
- Civil War Overhaul - Requiem Patch.esp - Azirok's great patch to unify Civil War with Requiem. If you don't install this, the combatants will be falling like flies.
- Open Face Helmets.esp - Uses Teh-Husky's textures (the best IMHO) to bring guard open helmets to Requiem without patches.
- Faster Get Up (no esp just meshes) - The animation of standing up when falling down is very slow. This mod will speed it up. This will work on enemies too, so don't rely too much on weak paralysis poisons.
- Orc Shield and Weapons Match (no esp just textures) - Matches Orc Shield and Weapons hue with that of their armor.
- bow and quiver re-positioned (no esp just meshes) - Positions the quiver closer to the body making it fit better with the Frostfall backpacks.
- Stable uGridsToLoad (no esp just a SKSE dll plugin) - To make sure my higher uGrids are stable.
As it is obvious I prefer playing Requiem with a minimal set of mods. I think Requiem doesn't play well with most mods that are out there, not for technical reasons but because Requiem is essentially a new game while most mods are made for Skyrim.
Settings
I use ENB but without graphics effects (UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true); I don't like changing the default Skyrim looks to something that resembles the drunken state in RND! But I have tested it and found out that the claims of performance improvements are true: it does provide a small but tangible FPS improvement without sacrificing stability or quality. I can't test the stability improvements claims though, because Skyrim is already very stable on my Windows XP system.
Finally I have set my ugrids to 7. This is a big decision and in many cases a reason for crashes but once I restricted my mod list to the above, everything worked fine (and the world looks much more rich as the larger ugrids load more real cells instead of fake low-res ones. My ugrids settings are based on Umbrecht's "Real uGrids solution" and some information I've found on the net. And since there have been requests for those settings, here they are:

This is my second run on Skyrim. I use mods, as vanilla does not feel right. I left my last game unfinished (about lvl 50) because some mechanics went broke at some point. Now I want to start a new game with Requiem, but I want it to be STABLE
Please, advice me what mod list + load order to use for the following:
I want to have a minimalistic Skyrim+Dragonborn+Hearthfires + Requiem + more armours and weapons (immersive weapons and armors looks great) + one or two other mods if you think the are a must have and STABLE. Do I need some patches for those?
