Took this long for someone to do this, jesus.
Now for the summon signs!
Hope this doesn't cause hitching like most other texture size increases. Would be terribly bad since signs are everywhere!

This looks awesome. Totally hoping you do this with summon signs.

Man, this makes me want to play Demon's Souls on PC. I bet that game would look amazing.

Don't we all..
(I've never owned any of the current gen consoles, so I missed out on a lot of good console exclusives. /cry)

Hey, glad that people are enjoying this one.
Can/will definitely look into the summon signs, can think of a couple of possible ideas for those. Probably the part that takes longest is making them look wierd and archaic enough, something fitting and similar but not too similar. I figure those probably should remain unreadable, just strange designs. Will see aboot it.
Probably look into what .dds format Dark Souls likes too, as mentioned those wouldn't play nice with .png mods' load delays, though I did notice while making and testing this that the player messages are loaded and cached at game startup along with the UI elements and some other bits and pieces. It's possible summon signs are handled the same, I've had them texture dump without even going online, but will need to check that out to be sure.
Anyways, cheers, enjoy.
Edit: I just went ahead and started on the summon signs, trying out a couple of ideas. I have no idea if community would prefer readable signs or runic gibberish, I see positives and negatives in both, maybe alternate versions is the way to go.
I'll try things out and see what's what.

How about for the SunBros, Sunlight Warriors, make it say Jolly Cooperation (nods head up and down)

Likely to not be workable due to the way the signs are generated, still to 100% confirm but it does look like the sunbros, regular white summons and red pvp summons may all have to stick to the same basic format. It's possible the "burn" effect around the sign's writing/image can vary between those 3 types beyond color, but not totally sure yet.
We shall know soon enough.

Really like this mod! before messages were just cluttered and annoying. Really like seeing them as I move around now.

I missed out on good console exclusives by owning an Xbox. t-t
