  1. Hello, I am just wondering if the Data folder included in the latest version is now meant to be installed or if it is still the usual _for_test_only folder? I noticed there are a couple new scripts included in it but I cant determine if it was intentional or a mistake not placing it back in the _for_test_only folder. The readme has no mention of it and in fact still refers to the _for_test_only folder. I am also curious about the CustomControlMap text file, the readme only says to install the 2 .dll's and the executable but what is the use of the CustomControlMap? Is that only needed for script extender plugins to have access to more/varied key functions or something similar? I appologize if I have been a pain, I only want to understand. Cheers!
  2. Just a couple things I noticed from a glance, you should keep mods and their plugins/optionals together, for instance; place W.A.T.E.R and then it's optionals (like plants, waves, etc.) after it. I put W.A.T.E.R and it's optionals last in my order. Or Wet and Cold for another, followed by it's Ashes plugin and then even the Holidays. Just make sure you keep the masters before the corresponding dependent plugin (a.k.a .esp). Surprised BOSS/LOOT did not do that to begin with, so double check it is actually working and actually managing your load order. Also stick with just one, running BOSS using an outdated/no longer supported or updated Masterlist may not sort them perfect, especially newer mods that have come out since that Masterlist was last updated, or changes they realized needed to be made since moving on from it. And then running LOOT, even if you are doing it perfectly proper, would overide some of what BOSS just did. Stick with LOOT. Or when in doubt, especially with Load Order, just run it through TES5edit real quick. See if you get any errors/flags, or what kinda conflicts you got going on. If you haven't already check out Gophers videos, he's got an amazing in-depth tutorial video for pretty much any aspect of Skyrim modding troubleshooting, including Load Order and using BOSS/LOOT, and even using TES5edit to find problems with your load order which would be my recommendation if you feel confident enough, or just follow Gophers video! If you need link(s) let me know, but if your not already aware of his video(s) series/channel (somehow idk, is that even possible lol??) a Google search will work just fine too! Good luck to you, feel free to PM me if you want/require more in-depth help I'm always happy to help a fellow Skyrim gamer/modder! Cheers
  3. Nice glad you got it sorted! It can be a bit "testy", it is a Bethesda Game Studios tool after all lol :P **If you have not already checked them out, these are GREAT resources for Creation Kit beginners to pro's: Official Creation Kit Tutorial Video Series Playlist by Bethesda - Official Creation Kit Wiki by Bethesda - http://www.creationkit.com/ ========================================================== Good luck and I hope to see some of your work on the Hot Files soon :P
  4. have you checked the papyrus log following a CTD for any errors? also I always sort out a CTD by going through exactly what was going on when it happened, if you say your in open area's is it when LOD's are loading or near civilizations more likely vs. wilderness and what are the most common or frequent assets in that cell that could possibly be the problem? Usually by looking @ the mod list while doing my "breakdown" in my head and combined with any applicable details from the log I can figure it out, or worst case scenario narrow it down to a small enough group that a quick disable/enable process of elimination in NMM takes care of it. Just curious too, but does BOSS place Dragonborn.esm below ApachiiHair.esm or was that you manually placed? I've always thought a good rule of thumb with load order was too load "Official" plugins first, then customs. Same with the HighResTexturePack01.esp, HighResTexturePack02.esp, and HighResTexturePack03.esp I always keep them the first 3 plugins after the master file section, same thing basically, "Official" first. Good luck mate I hope you get it sorted and it's nothing major with your save or anything, which is possible when you use a lot of mods, but it's just as likely too be a conflict or error so I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!
  5. do you use an ENB or other d3d9.dll file like FPS Limiter or Monitor in game? And just loading Skyrim.esm it crashes or are you trying to load multiple masters, or DLC?
