  1. This has already been done here; http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/57697/? It's a modder's resource, you just have to rig it.
  2. Hey Devin, I know this is a little off topic, but if you still play Fallout 3 you should definitely check out this new New York Mod called "The Big Apple". It is now up for download on the nexus website with quests and new great things, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! :D :D Video sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3GO52qhhzw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPqomajMHdw Mod itself: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21335/? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21380/?
  3. Hello guys, I just looked into the mod, and here are some post others have asked as well; http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/images/42628/?showtopic=905932&p=7425926 http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/792530-mod-requests/ In the post Quetzle said that his mod has a similar armor type; http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46060/? http://static-6.nexusmods.com/15/images/130/1316332-1354595079.jpg As for the actual mod itself, its based off of a game called Black Light Retribution and the specific name of that helmet is called Allied R5X GHOST, which was originally from a mod called Black Light; http://blacklight.wikia.com/wiki/Allied_R5X_GHOST As for the specific mod, you can download it with added goggles; http://memberfiles.freewebs.com/40/08/66680840/photos/Pictures/ScreenShot32.jpg http://fallout-blackmarket.webs.com/photos/Pictures/7782-1-1284251594.jpg This is part of Igby's T.Y.R armor collection which you could find here; http://fallout-blackmarket.webs.com/ You have to download T.Y.R. Armor NV v1.2, the specific helmet is called T.Y.R MK1 Helmet Revised
  4. @devinpatterson Thank you devinpatterson for offering your assistance! I understand that you might be busy so I don't want you to feel obligated in any way. I completely understand your situation man and I don't want to add to your plate. This will be definitely resolved :)
  5. Hello everyone, I found a mod on this website here; http://bbs.3dmgame.com/thread-2121952-1-1.html I'm just curious to learn more about it, it appears to be in chinese too. Would anyone know what it does? Thank you for your time! :) -Shushi
  6. Oh and Devin, how would one go about after I change the armors of the Rangers, how do I make some of them wear the coat and others not? (like a 1/2 ratio of some wearing the coat) Does the geck allow you to do this or is there another program that I have to look into? Aside from that I'll look forward to your project! Thanks again!
  7. That is very true! Thank you devinpatterson for your response, I will keep that in mind when I go and edit the ranger's armor. :D
  8. Hello everyone! I was hoping to see if anyone would be interested in making a mod where the NCR Ranger's armors from New Vegas would be changed to a different looking armor such as this one: http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/4223/rangercombatarmor1.png http://modgames.net/_ld/192/08720196.jpg Personally I like the coat but to make the game seem more immersive I thought that it would be a good idea to have some rangers wear the coat whereas other don't. I thought that this idea would go good with mods like the NCR Armor Overhaul mod for example! The original mod is from Mastiff_Jean and he can be contacted through nexus http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?showuser=12345914 http://modgames.net/load/fallout_new_vegas/bronja/bronja_prizrak/94-1-0-19281 Thank you everyone for your time, and if you know someone who might be interested in a mod like this one, please pass on the word  ! Again thank you and have a great day! =====================UPDATE===================== I found someone else who did a similar job, here it is; http://static-6.nexusmods.com/15/mods/130/images/44970-1-1324546968.png http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44970/? - Shushi
  9. I know this is already late but Riven tried to do a similar one to brokencrash, I'm not sure if you'd still be interested; http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/51895/? Currently Riven is in charge of helping brokencrash finish the mask, he said he'll have it done for sure! :)
  10. Hello everyone, I think it would be a fantastic idea if someone was able to make a modder's resource of the Stargate portal with not only texture and meshes but also sound effects. I couldn't ask for a mod because that would be too specific and I think many modders would appreciate to have the Stargate Portal Gate as a resource that they could use for their own projects where they can replace doors and use the Stargate Portal as a door. What I am personally looking for is the Stargate Portal with no special effects except just having animated texture of the Portal. I wanted to use the portal as an entrance to my Tron home from this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/43540/? Here are some resources that I found from other modders of the Stargate Portal http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/14088/? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/14165/? these are from Skyrim and Oblivion resources (This mod is from the second link, the author just converted it from New Vegas engine into the Skyrim engine) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23471/? http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/12379/? and here are some pictures of the progress from other modders who tried to do this project but they never got around to complete it. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/images/28297/? http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/images/25791/?page=1&sort=DESC&pid=0&thread_id=531981&pUp=1 Any help would be appreciated very much! I just barely started modding and I'm afraid that this is out of my league. My only hope is to pass my resources to others and see if anyone else is interested in picking up this project. Thank you very much and have a fantastic day everyone! - Shushi

  12. I know this post is kinda old, but on behalf of everyone here I would like thank you for your amazing idea! We all look forward to seeing the future progress of your companion mod and I wish you the best!
  13. I'm sorry if I don't make much sense as I'm new to modding which I've watched a couple tutorials here and there, and even missed around with the blender a bit, so the terms I try to use may not be so accurate or the same as how veteran modders may use. If anybody has a hard time understanding me, correct me please as I want to become a better modder and to understand my problem better  So Im trying to replace the "appearance" (not sure whether this has to do with textures or meshes or both) of the existing armors that the factions wear because I honestly deslike their present armors and gear. I don't know if I have to do this first, but since the armors that I want to replace for the factions to wear in this game are mod armors (armors that aren't from New Vegas originally) I don't think that I have to install the mods since all I plan to do is just use the geck to replace the existing armors that the factions are originally wearing (in other words, find the file name of the armors that the factions use, and rename the mod armors title exatly the same as the originals so I can replace them). Honestly, I don't mind keeping the same cheap stats of the original armors that I plan to replace over with the modded armors, I just want to change the look of the armors is all. This is what I have done so far, I went to GECK and then => File => Data... => *Select, without checking the box* FalloutNV.esm => *Click on* Details Then wait for a little as it says (GECK Not Responding), one minute later The File Details box pops up and I did the labor of going through the file Types (TXST, MICN, CLAS, ENCH, ARMO) and then I copied down all of the Editor ID codes which I suspected would be the ones that would allow me to replace and change the appearance of the outfits and armors that the factions use in the game (I need help understanding what file Types such as TXST, MICN, CLAS, ENCH, ARMO all mean because I don't know which ones are the ones that I'm supposed to look for in order to alter [strictly just sticking with apearance of armors and apparel of factions only]). (Sorry if I sound redundant, Im just trying to provide as much information that I can possibly provide to make it easier on your part  ) So aside of my problem of understanding the meaning of file Types, how do I make these changes, how do I do the process of replacing the appearance of the faction armors so that their armors look like the modded amors that I want to use? Where do I go? After I figure out which file Types are the ones that I need to change, how do I find the IDs of the modded armors (do I have to install the modded armor mods, or do I have to place them in the fallout directory?) and how do I input them in the GECK and do the replacing process? (where I rename the Mod files exactly the same as the Faction apparel IDs', then copy and replace the titles). It's difficult for me to understand this process as well, I'm sorry if this sounds really confusing... but I really want to thank you for the time that you took to read my post and the trouble that I'm having   If you need anymore clarification or details, I'll be more than happy to tell you more and examples if you need them
  14. Thanks, and I guess Project Reality is compatible with Project Nevada as well. Thank you for helping me clear out all of the confusion, I didn't want to miss up anything in my game, and again, thanks for your time :)
  15. Basically I'm asking as the question reads :P I really like Project Reality because it calls out more to my style of playing and experiencing the game as a whole, but I feel like Nevada Sky is more compatible with more mods than Project Reality and I don't understand the whole idea of using the "Archive Invalidation Invalidated" thingy when installing (I honestly don't know what Archive Invalidation Invalidated really is or the whole concept of it and how it allows mods to work) Well enough of that, my main focus is that I heard that Project Reality hits any system a lot more harder than Nevada Skies and my fear is that it will cause it to conflict with other mods and not support all of the DLCs, and that Nevada Skies might complement better with the majority of the mods in Nexus as opposed to Project Reality. Any help clarifying this ? A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THIS I like to use the Reinforced Chinese Stealth Suit armor, especially this one, http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37040//? But I don't know if I can play this with Project Reality or if it's even compatible as Project Nevada had created a compatible patch for it here already, http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47219/? If all this compatibility mod does is just visually make the stealth field and other aspects and patches of the RCSS look better, then I don't care. What worries me the most is if that isn't the case, like does the ability to actually use the RCSS armor depend on that compatibility mod and could I still play with the RCSS in the game, or does the ability to use it with Project Nevada or Project Reality depend on a compatibility patch ? If in the case that http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/47219/? only visually makes the RCSS armor look better and it doesn't effect the ability to play the armor in the game at all, then in that case, I don't care. I want to use Mods like this one in Project Reality and I could care less if the armor has that vanilla patches that make it look poor, as long as I could still play with armors such as these, I'm alright, my question in this case is if I could still play with this armor in Project Reality, or is there a patch that's required ? And with the absence of the patch, could I still play with the RCSS armor with PR or PN ? (Sorry if I confused you while I was trying to explain my dilemma, it's a lot of confusing information, considering that I'm still a noob to this) :P Last thing: are both of these (Nevada Skies and Project Reality) both compatible with EVE ? Just curious
