  1. do any of the models in speedy resources use vanilla meshes, and if so wich ones dont?
  2. I'm very busy and can't promise anything, I'll only formally join a project if it looks as good or better than vanilla Skyrim. But I will be making some resources that are free to use. Talent: 3D modelling and texturing Skill level: Medium - High Contact method: PM me Talent: Level design Skill level: High Other Info: Know the Oblivion CS and Fallout GECK inside and out. Talent: Scripting Skill level: Medium Other info: I program in several real programming languages so the scripting language is simple, I will have to learn the new Skyrim one though.
  3. Fallout 3 had it so it might be in there. They didn't use it very much so it might just be used very rarely.
  4. If a model is missing its texture it will randomly grab another one from around it. Make sure the model's texture paths point to a valid texture.
  5. Well the image you posted here is very small. Its hard to see the new details. The second image is a better size.
  6. Thanks. I'm actually in the final year of Game development. My program is mostly focused on code but for the final year we have a good modelling class. Anyway I've been modelling for quite a while and have gotten pretty good at uv mapping. The biggest thing is the actual painting of the texture and that first tutorial link is exactly what I've been looking for! My brother has a Wacom tablet he uses for drawing concept art so I will be using that. I have some good grunge brushes but could always use more and I don't have any good scratch brushes do you know where I could get some good ones, most sites I've found just have the same sets. I find I can get some great grunge from the CGtextures decals section. Anyway thanks a lot!
  7. That is some really nice texture work! That's currently the kind of skill I'm working towards, not quite there yet. Do you know any really good tutorials for that type of texture work?
  8. There is really no point in bringing this up. These things just happen. You should look at Oblivion! The Front page of the TES Nexus is usually filled with that stuff. (and good mods rarely make the front page anymore) At least in Fallout we are not completely inundated with that stuff yet.
  9. The nif exporter only supports up to Max 2010. You can still export as obj and import that into Nifskope.
  10. I can't say I could go at it for that long. I'll be getting into NY development in a few weeks. And school starts soon.
