So, before we start, a few erm...rules.
1. Please Role Play in Third Person. I'm assuming you know what this is, so no example will be provided.
2. Please, when speaking, speak in quotes, and don't signify actions with asterisks.
3. Don't control other member's characters, try not to be all powerful, invincible, etc.
4. Please abide by real world physics, such as not being able to carry eight shotguns, a rocket launcher, and an infinite amount of ammo for each of them. It's...it's just not done.
5. Please, mark Out Of Character speak with ((...)) or just a simple OOC: tag.
6. Please don't speak computer lingo, a person whose response to "How are you?" is "OMFG HOW JOOP DOIGN BOI I KEEL SUM NUBCAKS YSTRDAE OLOLOL FTW!!!!1!" isn't the sort that I'm looking for in a Role Play.
7. Please, literacy is encouraged. Don't be afraid to let others know exactly what you're saying. Or, typing, as the case may be. Oh, basic understanding of the English language is a must, too.
So, let's get on with it, hmm?

Vault 83
Meant to test the extreme measures inhabitants would go to to survive. For every 10 people, they sneaked in 1 inhabitant with a mutagen. This mutagen gave the individual no outside deformities, but would eventually deteriorate the individuals mental capabilities, essentially devolving them into violent savages. No, this would not happen in the individual's lifetimes, but over the course of time. This gene was dominant. The Vault, meant for testing the physical and mental duress of individuals, was also made substantially larger then the standard variants, with the Power Generator designed to fail after 200 years. The Vault's main source of energy was hydroelectric, thus an infinite source until the seas run dry.
The Vault is also home to an underground labyrinth, located directly beneath the body water adjacent to the Vault. Some rooms flooded, others packed with weapons, medicine, food, and the like. Others were completely empty, made for hostile wildlife to make them their nesting grounds.
August 3, 2254, the Power Generator has failed early. The Overseer sends a small group of Engineers to work on the problem.
This was 3 weeks ago. The Engineers never returned, all that was found was a blood stained wrench and the ripped upper section of a jumpsuit.
People have begun to go missing, mostly the violent kind of people, crazy, they were called.
This is the story of Vault 83.
Codename: Hazardous Paradise.

So, you'll be playing as an inhabitant of the Vault, nothing's gone wrong yet, except some people are missing, and the main power generator's out, so you've got to cope without. When I feel the time is right, I'll announce something has gone wrong, and take appropriate action, at which the actual action will begin. Until then, I, the overseer, will be enforcing the Vault Guidelines, stationing guards wherever possible to ensure the inhabitants don't panic.
Of course, the Vault is located in sunny Washington D.C., somewhat adjacent to Rivet City.
Oh, and remember, you won't have any weapons, aside from a pipe or a knife or something, until actual event unfolds. Only the Overseer knows about the conditions of the Vault Dwellers and etc. If you're a Vault Guard, you can have some actual Vault Armor and a 10mm pistol.
