-----------------------------------------------------------------

1. Find your skyrim.ini file
- for Windows 7 users, it will be in My Documents/My Games/Skyrim/skyrim.ini.
- for others, it will be in Skyrim/Data/Skyrim.ini.
Open it.

2. add HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa to the sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim line, make sure there is a , (comma) and space after each one

should look like this:

sResourceArchiveList=Skyrim - Misc.bsa, Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Skyrim - Textures.bsa, HighResTexturePack01.bsa, HighResTexturePack02.bsa, Skyrim - Interface.bsa, Skyrim - Animations.bsa, Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, Skyrim - Sounds.bsa

3. save the skyrim.ini file

4. open the game launcher, click on data files, and uncheck the 2 bethesda texture pack files

5. you will get a warning that the game has missing files when loading your gamesave, just ignore it and click ok.

So is this basically completely disabling the Bethesda HD texture pack?

No its just loading the HighResTexturePack's as normal bsa file allowing mods to overide the Texture packs.:)

The way there been loaded when installed makes them overide all graphic mods :(

I didn't have that line in my skyrim.ini, but it worked by just copy/pasting it in at the bottom.

Me neither but i found "sResourceArchiveList../" in the skyrim_default file in the Steam directory "Common"..so i put it there between Textures and Interface. That works too.

I was unable to find the Skyrim.ini. anywhere on my computer and neither was my friend.

My game is installed from steam and so is his. Clarification would be very appriciated.

"edit" confused by my swedish computer. Found it exactly where it sould be.

I changed the .ini file and extracted the mod to the correct folder. I even get the warning message saying content is not there. Yet the mod is not active.
