One of the most useful things to add to Fallout 3 would be a minimap, in my opinion.

It would make it a lot easier (and more fun) to navigate the wasteland, but especially in buildings.
For those that are worried about the feel of a realtime minimap - maybe it would be possible to show the arm with the pipboy in realtime, just like the ingame character would see it?

For all others that wouldn't mind an ordinary minimap, that solution might turn out to be simpler and easier to look at.

I think it would benifit Fallout 3 a lot...
