The first time I looked at Power Armor at the launcher, the first thing that crossed my mind is... "A Zaku?"

So an idea crossed my mind, "it should be possible to modifiy the power armor to looks like a Zaku, or even a Sazabi.

That's a beam shotgun in it's hand. If I recall somebody already made a laser shotgun.

I think a crossover between Gundam and Fallout would be only natural. A lot can be modded and it only require new meshes and textures without much scripting.

If you want to make it semi-canon, just mention it as some version of power armor from "across the ocean".

Yeah, I think this kind of mod is bound to happen. Just like those FF mods that flooded the Oblivion.

I wonder that now the GECK is out, can the main character to be made hovering instead of walk when wearing certain apparel?

Oh yeah if somebody intrested, I can you with provide various pictures to help. I'll see if I could get my hand on the schematics.

I'm sure this would be possible. In Oblivion they had the mount system which isn't present in Fallout 3. If someone finds a way to re-create this for Fallout 3 it shouldn't be too difficult to make a Gundam mod. It would probably be the equivalent of Oblivon's Akatosh mounts.

Actually I imagined that it'd be a remodelling of the power armors, not as a mountable vehicle. Though if you want to relly get the feeling that you're riding a real mobile suit, you could make a mod that make everything smaller in the wasteland and you can't remove your armor.

But I'll play a real gundam games instead of making a mod like that.

Interesting idea, and I'd personally love to use a Dom Trompen (which actually hovers, unlike the Zaku I/IIs). I'm hoping for a beam rifle to be put into the game. It behaves similar to the laser rifle already in game, so a new model and the same properties would be just fine (even better if the beams were recolored pink or yellow, for megaparticles).

I'd love to see this implemented. The Mobile Suit Gundam series has got to be my favorite anime of all time.

Glad somebody still pays attention to this thread. Yeah, I'm still waiting for some modders out there who are intrested to implement this idea.

if someone wants to put it in game I will make a better texture, as well as a green texture

and mabe even some other stuff



but I have other stuff I need to do other than downloading nifskope and learning how to import things into the game



Zaku 1 would be as simple as turning off the spike on the head and the tubeing around the head, since those are both modeled as seperate objects

I'm already working on an Acguy and the Gundams from Gundam 00.

IF I have time (And by IF, I mean I'm going to need to stop procrastinating) I'll work on a Sazabi as well. You'd know this if you saw the anime clothing request thread.
