This project has been in the mod request pages for long enough. It is now getting really started!

This project aims to create a part of Las Vegas that the player can travel to and do quests and explore.

History:
This project started out as a project to create part of New York. There is another team working on that so we switched to Vegas.

cuz i have an idea id love to see implemented in an epic mod such as this . . .I'm thinkin: its the desert not exactly the right spot but its still nevada : I want an area 51-esque military base with some cool easter eggs like an alien space craft and armory, you know just something to make the vegas area a bit mor interesting to explore. . .could even be in a different cel. BTW how are you gonna handle a desert tileset and cave tile set?

I might lighten some textures and use them for the ground and caves. The air force base is a good idea with a very hard computer locked door to the basement where the flying saucer is stored

Nice! new places to visit that cool yeah this is a Donwload for sure!...but i am wondering when you guys finish, Sin City Project.....will you start or make Big Apple Project A.K.A New York?

There is already a project for that (The Manhattan Project, No idea where they are based out of) but if it doesn't take off or isn't high quality enough we may make our own version.

There could be a secret military installation (BoS, Outcast BoS, or Enclave controlled... Or, alternately, Ghoul controlled, maybe a rallying point in the Ghoul community intended for *insert cheese here* smoothskin domination, or a mixture with internal battles for control) deep under Vegas. There could be an arderous gauntlet of automated defenses and traps to go through in order to even get to the Very Hard locked door. Maybe require a key....

This sounds awesome! I'm not too sure how close this mod follows continuity though, I did want to say...Following obvious targets of nuclear strike, Vegas is definitely on the list and I'd imagine the main strip, with most outstanding areas completely gone. To that, it's solid granite vs. I-beams and rebar with concrete (if not that foam filler stuff to which I don't know the name). A much different type of destruction. Just a general 'atmospheric' thought and observation.

So far as quests, my dozen times in Vegas, I've wanted to steal 2 things, the giant gold nugget at The Gold Nugget casino on Fremont St. in old town and the pure gold King Tut Sarcophagus replica at the Luxor. Apart from money of course, these might be good quest objectives
