About ManualReplica

  1. I hate to come into the forums and post this junk, I prefer to try and sort these things out myself and have been doing so since the early days of TES IV Oblivion, but I really can't figure this one out. First off, let me just say that yes, I do get the impression that I have one mod or two that may conflict with one another, I am pretty sure that mixing FOOK, Project Nevada and Classic Fallout Weapons is like mixing drugs and alcohol, but the game seems to work just fine most of the time. Aside from being hilariously unstable at times the game has continued just fine, never ended up with a game breaking crash that I couldn't work out during this run prior to this. So, I'd say that I've gotten to about halfway through the game, I've gotten to the point where I am questing for the Van Graffs and have to fetch Cassidy for Jean Baptiste, and to do that you gotta do the Crimson Caravan quests first of course, and that brings me to the problem. The very first Crimson Caravan quest brings me to the Camp McCarran Terminal Building, which I can't access because the game crashes (or freezes on loading screen) whenever I try to go inside. I figured that it'd have something to do with a recent mod or two, so I disabled CHEMS and ACS, that didn't work. Gradually I disabled more and more mods in an attempt to just narrow it down, but none of my redundant/minor mods seem to be the problem, and in the end I ended up having disabled virtually everything but vanilla, DLC's, FOOK and Project Nevada and the game still crashes when I enter the cell. It's odd, because I've gone inside the same cell before using the above four + a number of other mods without any real issues, so I don't get what the problem is. The first spoiler contains my full load order, and the second one contains the one I narrowed down, neither works. And yeah, I do use FNVEdit to make merge patches, that doesn't solve the crash. I've also tried using previous saves, even went with one from before I took the quest and it doesn't work. Only way of getting it to work was to disable everything BUT vanilla and DLC's, used a testing character to access the cell and it loaded just fine, so its either specific to that character or FOOK/PN somehow (as far as I know that is). So does anyone have any ideas here or...?
  2. No problem, as long as it is still axe shaped and swingable it should be alright. If you want to give it a try then go for it, take your time, i'll will be waiting with much anticipation. ;D Like I said, its not that the mods are bad or anything, I just never really found "that one weapon", either its just me being all picky about it or I am blindsided and have been looking in the wrong direction.
  3. http://dow2.info/w/images/Csm_chainaxe.png Khornate Chainaxe *It is essentially an axe with sawblades that is held and swung with one hand. Let me tell you more about this request of mine, I have always been more of a traditional hack and slash kind of player, it goes way back to when I first began playing videogames, stomping, hacking, whacking, punching, kicking and whatever form of close quarter brutal violence always seemed like more fun to me, magic and guns is good too but the sensation of sprinting up to some poor victim and lobbing his head off with a hammer is just great. I've used all sorts of melee weapons and mods in New Vegas ranging from medieval swords to that dull thermic spear thing and I never liked any of them (not that the mods I tried were bad or anything but they all feel so generic), the chainsaw and super sledges kinda get old after the first few playthroughs, I just want a decent one handed unusual swinging weapon for many hours of fun in the wastes. Yeah, thats pretty much it. It wouldn't necessarily have to be the most advanced weapon with movable parts either, just some sort of weapon that can be repaired melee weapons of its level, stand its own against a chainsaw/super sledge and that resembles the one in the picture provided would be great. I'd be happy if some kind soul could make me this weapon for me, and, melee users over. I'd attempt and do this myself but I am a complete noob at F:NV modding and got full up with school and all. Again, if its doable and if someone would like to give this a try it'd be much appreciated. -MR
