  1. I completely trashed my game using this method and deviating from the directions to edit a casual outfit. My game just loads forever on the initial loading screen now. Frosty said something about a new game version when I loaded MEA via its launcher even though I had only exported, edited, imported the "gear_casual_04_cool.ebx.bin" file. I tried to fix it by importing the backup created on edit and I am still stuck on the load screen. I am about to do a fresh install and I am wondering what file the HxD edits so I can do a backup? It would really help. I would feel more free to make changes if I didn't have to worry about breaking my game. I was trying to edit the default colors of the starting casual outfits through trial and error.
  2. I haven't been able to access their site for about eight weeks now. Does LL have a discussion page away from their main site or somewhere we can check status updates?
  3. Thanks for keeping us apprised on the situation. Strangely the Nexus has been working fine for me. I have been experiencing average download speeds throughout most of this incident. However, I just turned my pricey video card into a crispy critter...so I will not be downloading any mods for a few days.
  4. ADD is a real disorder for many people but it is too often diagnosed where it doesn't exist. I would say mostly in children and primarily in...certain countries. I read some really informative article a few years back on how that disorder can be treated with out medication with a very high success rate though most medical professional quickly prescribe dangerous medications before even exploring the safer alternatives. Lifestyle changes like diet, exercise, and a proper mental state can help greatly. Wait wasn't I supposed to be commenting on nested comments? :P
  5. Thanks for all of the improvements and for all of the hard work. Everything is running very smooth for me. Manual downloads, NMM downloads, and the site in general.
  6. I say au revoir rep system. I will not miss you either. Thanks to the staff for removing it. I think empowering authors to moderate their own comments is an excellent idea.
  7. Good job with the design. Overall, I think the change was an improvement. I also want to say thank you for all of your hard work as well as a willingness to listen to others input. Really, what I should say is thanks for creating the Nexus and keeping it going for so many years. Without The Nexus sites, the global modding community would be a lesser place. I hate to sound like a broken record here, but I am not overly fond of the decreased page width. There is a great deal of wasted space here that detracts my focus from the site's content. I think a good solution to this would be to offer an alternate layout in the users control panel while keeping this layout as the default.
  8. I once used a mod that would cause people to react to the player if they had high scores either way. They would cower if you were incredibly evil or adore you if you were a hero. This is an extremely vague memory... though I clearly remember it existed. You never really forget people cowering at the sight of you lol. Perhaps someone will remember the file's name or have a URL. Edit for punctuation.
  9. Yes, I can confirm the "M" folder belongs to that mod. It's under Data->Meshes->Clothes. That problem with removing a folder/file from Windows XP is common and quite annoying. I will not miss that OS. As bben46 suggested it may be a problem with another user account dependent on the file. Are you running multiple user accounts? Have you tried changing the read only status of the folder and all subfolders when prompted? Rarely ever worked for me but worth a try. You can alter this by right clicking main folder and choosing properties then uncheck the box and apply. Lastly, sometimes I could remove the folder/file after a system restart. Just a few suggestion off the top of my head. Edit for spelling.
  10. You my friend are a scholar and a gentleman. :D My angle is back to normal and your kudos level just went to 34. I apologize for the delayed response. As soon as I heard you mention DR6 I knew the culprit. I had previously attempted a manual uninstallation of that mod... 800+ files. It would seem I was unsuccesfull. ^^' However, I was able to completely remove the files this time. I recommend to anyone about to install DR6 to read the uninstallation section of the DR6 read me prior to installing the mod manually ...as it warns to install with OBMM or BAIN. Thank you very much for your help. Also, I appreciate the link to the tweak guide. LG's Unscaled Enemies description: The purpose behind this mod is to get rid of the unrealistic "scaling" of enemies in Oblivion to your character's level. Creatures and NPC's now have fixed levels at particular values based on certain assumptions (ie., vampires are stronger than bandits, etc.) While outdoors, the kind of monsters found in the wilderness will depend on which environment you are in and the individual rarity of the monster.
  11. I just reinstalled Oblivion after leaving for Mass Effect 2 and have been going through the long and arduous process of modding it. That's why I didn't list any recent installs. I also tried launching the game without any .esp activated. The character remains messed up. I was shooting in the dark asking if it could be a mod. I can still list my load order if you think it could help. Are there settings in the .ini I could check that correspond to this problem? Note: I forgot to mention I am having the problem in both 1st and 3rd person views. Edit: Added load order in main post.
  12. I have spent awhile trying to fix this problem. It is similar to the camera angle issue some people have. It's kinda hard to explain. To anyone that can provide any input, thank you in advance. When I talk to someone they look up at me like I am 12ft tall. The closer I am to the target the more extreme the angle. Also, when I activate something the angles are off there as well. Say If I want to open a chest, I would have to stand right in front of it and look down at the ground to activate it. This problem has happened after installing something rather than something that occurred in-game I believe. The reason I believe this is because all save games including those prior to this problem are plagued by the same issue. I have tried to remove the ini assuming something in there had been adjusted but there was no change. Is it possible for an .esp to alter the .ini? I can't remember but I think I have seen this before. As a side note: Can anyone tell me what the [interface] section sub points in the ini control specifically or point me to a guide that covers this section? Edit: Added Load Order
  13. Thank you very much. This formula makes sense to me. This is exactly what I was looking for. + kudos :)
  14. I believe what Pronam and Shadowfen is trying to say Dusty7777 is that any of the objects you are saying are transparent on one side can be made solid by: First place the one sided wall in the cs Select the item and duplicate Now rotate the duplicate 180 degrees. It will be as if it's solid but the interior will be a mirror of the exterior. Or you could look through some of the modders resources on the main site. :)
