  1. Algabar, Thanks for the response. I use Vortex, and one of the things I like about it is that you can manually insert rules " x must load before/after y" even if conflicts aren't detected by the mod manager itself. You gave me exactly the answer I was looking for - ref the base masters for conflicts. That's the part I'd forgotten. Also, I yanked No Snow and Better Dynamic Snow, due to all the patches they needed. They worked together for the last two years, but who knows which farmhouse or stonework mod I threw in broke everything. I'll run with SoS and hope for the best. Again, thanks for the response.
  2. Hi all, Did A Very Bad Thing and stacked on several texture and mesh mods at once (Half-Timbered Fachwerk, a rebuild of SMIM and patches, Noble Skyrim HD, and NSUTR with patches). Now random building pieces are missing. All the stone pillars in front of Bleak Hearth Barrow or Arcwind Point; half of the stone work in the small outer cell towers like the bandits just before BHB or up behind Arcwind Point (Bounty for Crowstooth [CC]); and, strangely, some of the longhouses. Whiterun and Falkreath are fine but Highmoon Hall is gone. The doors remain and still function as activators - I can activate them from either side and be transported inside - but the buildings themselves arent just invisible, they're gone. LOOT doesn't show any missing dependencies and Vortex doesn't have any cyclic rules so I'm ok there. I'm a novice with SSEdit - I usually just use it to clean mods. Where should I be looking in SSEdit to find where a mod is damaging external cells?
  3. Thanks for the response, Picky. No, it's not another profile - my User profile is the only one (I nuked my wife's profile after creating my own as an admin and testing it). This error even comes up no when trying to install Vortex now - it's presently uninstalled - so I can't even set up new.
  4. All, I just inherited my wife's old PC. Under her login, I had Skyrim SE running with Vortex just fine. I decided to create a new User Account under my name. When I did, Vortex began kicking up this error - "Vortex already seems to be running." This is false. I get this error even with no instances in the Task Manager. I even uninstalled Vortex and tried re-installing with 1.2 (latest) with both the Custom Install and Default Install installers. I saw another user post with this error but I don't have the state.v2 file that the help referenced. Any ideas?
  5. Hey all, Quick question. If you've ever been to the site of a certain prolific modder for Oblivion, you can find lots of really sweet mashups she's done. Two items in particular are armors. The zips are textures and meshes and a pat on the head. They're not modded existing items, they're completely standalone. How can I add those items to the game through the CS? To clarify, I know how to manipulate library items in the CS (moving containers around, building small buildings and caves, manipulating NPCs and their gear, etc); I just don't know how to take textures and meshes and poof them into the game. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)
  6. I'm no modder, mate, but it's likely one of your Fran's. I run OOO and UOP (with some of the DLC UOPs as well) and don't have the issue with any of my guards.
  7. Hi kids, I have to put Skyrim off until I get back from tech school, so I decided to throw Oblivion back on my HD to get my ES fix. ;) Anyway, 79 mods later (most of them clothing and retexes - curses and damnation to 'Slof and BellaGail), I went and - don't ask me why - installed Elaborate Eyes manually instead of creating an OMOD like I do for everything else. Well, I did something wrong and got melty eyes...so I went and manually pulled the nequam textures and - of course - got empty sockets. I'm also running Ren's full and unchecked in OBMM the Ren's and EE's esp's and used the combo ESP provided in the EE download. The problem isn't in custom races for me - Sonja's Hellraisers, Ashara's Tritons & Sirens, Bella's Synx and Succ'ies all are good, it's the NPCs. Not all one race, either...it seems pretty random. I also have all the COBL's installed. Anyone got any ideas? I spent a couple hours looking for a fix and all the fixes I found are for custom races, but that's not my issue. I kept trying til I ran out of cake. Please help!
