  1. I've run into this problem before and it's sometimes due to a multiple entry in the mod list and the multiple entries don't show up in any of the mod managers. The only way I've found to fix that is to deactivate all the mods in the mod list using whatever mod manager you prefer. Then start skyrim using the skyrim shortcut created by Steam. If the game loads to the screen for you to continue , load etc. then exit and add back all the esm's and restart the game. If it still loads correctly. Add 8 or 10 more mods, and repeat until all your mods are active and the game still loads. If at any time it fails to load then you probably have a corrupted esp in the last 8 or 10 mods you activated. Unfortunately files DO get corrupted for no apparant reason.
  2. This is going to be quick and simple folks and I don't doubt there'll be many of you that throw a fit over what I'm about to tell you but this insistance of making textures 2048 or 4096 is becoming rediculious. Making an image larger does NOT make it HD. The meshes have a fixed number of faces to 'paint' and all that happens is the uv map gets stretched to the new dimension. A lot of people will say that they can get more detail into the larger image and in some instances this is true but leaving the image at 2048 or 4096 is NOT the answer. I personally use a program called Image Analyzer by MeeSoft. It's a free application. Once I've got the texture image completed to the detail level I'm happy with I simply import the image as a BMP into analyzer and resize it to 1024 x 1024. The default method for this is bitlinear intropolation which in most cases works just fine. The Image is now a manageable 1024 image and hasn't lost any of the detail. There are other methods to resize the image available if you see any loss of quality in the resize. So to boil it all down if you want to create HD textures AND make them so that ALL users can load and enjoy them you should start using some of the available software that can resize the images to a manageable size for all systems and users. I am NOT affiliated with MeeSoft or any other software company I'm just a modder like you all are. For those who wish to follow the proceedure I use here it is in basic steps. 1. Use DDS converter to make a TGA image of the Texture I'm going to work with. 2. Open the TGA file and send the image to the default editor. (in my case MSPaint.) (Note: you can if you wish, resize the image at this step or wait until you've edited it) 3. Copy the image from MSPaint to the program you use for editing the image (In my case that's Graphics Gale) 4. Edit Image and once complete copy edited image back to MSPaint. 5 If Image is larger than 1024 x 1024 Save MS Paint image as a BMP file in the texture directory I'm working in. ( note if the Alpha Image is also larger it will need to be saved as a bitmap image for resizing also.) 6 Open image(s) to be resized using whatever software you choose to use ( in my case Image Analyzer) and resize texture image and Alpha image if needed to 1024 x 1024. 7 save the newly resized images and then open the main texture image with your TGA tool. 8 add the resized alpha image to the new tga file if needed. 9 save the new TGA file named as the DDS file you are replaceing (example femalebody_1.dds would be femalebody_1.tga) 10 use dds converter to convert your new tga file to dds. You're now done and you have an HD texture that is ONLY 1024 x 1024 and usable by nearly ALL the users that play the game.
  3. Keep up the great work. Don't let anyone's comments bother you because the number of DL's speak for themself. You're work is very good and much appreciated.
  4. Interesting I'll have to check out Black Marsh when it releases. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Never mind lol Someone did a mod of it already and I've downloaded that. For those who wish to replace the bard song in the winking skeever here is the link to the mod on nexus.
  6. You wouldn't happen to have a link to it would you? I had heard there was a mod to replace the intro music with this version but not the in game bard song itself. If it's done already it would be a must have for me lol.
  7. Does anyone know which BSA and the file tree/path and file name of the female voiced bard song in game of the Dragon Comes? I've been seaching through the BSA's in search of that song for a couple of hours now and I can't seem to find it. I intend to replace it with instead. I have the MP3 of this downloaded and can convert it for the game but I can't find the original file-file path to do the conversion. Any help would be appreciated.

  9. Check the official Skyrim forum I believe they have a fix for the ATI driver problem there.
  10. You might want to drop this on the ATI/AMD forum .... as for me I'm using the driver dated 10-2 (sept of 2010) as it seems to work flawlessly with both skyrim and oblivion.
  11. The remapping is bugged. when you're in menu mode it stays mapped to the originals however: some of the keys work differently. To take a book you've just read .... while the book is open hit the space bar and it should go to your inventory if it doesn't try the enter key one of those should work. As for me I haven't found a way to get the favorites to work at all after remapping the key for it. :(
  12. The list is a good idea. Many people prefer the smaller breast sizes but have a difficult time finding the mods for them. As was noted earlier there are a lot of mods that have been redone or include smaller breast sizes in the package. Putting up a list of those would be a huge undertaking but also a tremendous service to the community. I'll keep an eye out for any mods like that and pass the info on as I run across them.
  13. Nice mod Vipcxj! I use a modified version of your RHH system now and look forward to using this mod as well. Keep up the great work, even though skyrim is coming doesn't mean we'll all stop playing oblivion , at least I know I won't :)
  14. From all I've seen and heard both on the nexus and on bethsoft forums use of meshes and textures is fine as long as there is a dependancy on the original mod. For example you can modify armor meshes and textures for shivering isles or Knights of the nine but you cannot make it so they are playable WITHOUT the knights of the nine or shivering isle expansion. If you take a ring mesh and texture from shivering isles, change the shape a bit a spruce up the texture then add some effects or enchantments and release it so that people can load it into oblivion without having shivering isles then you've violated the eula, but if you make your mod dependant on shivering isles, by say adding shivering isles as a master or making it so you have to travel to the shivering isles during the quest to get the ring then you're ok.
