  1. Mods... and now I'm down to 230 since I cleaned up a few, and yet it's still glitching.
  2. Right now, 247. But like I've said, I doubt that has anything to do with it, since this started occuring when I started using Wrye Bash.
  3. Yes, I bought it on Steam. The game itself is working, my only problem is that I can't install mods. Not sure if I made it clear in the OP but I am doing so now.
  4. Hi again. The same guy that was having problems with SOS, if anyone remembers me. My problem now is that suddenly my Skyrim simply stopped accepting mods. I thought it was Wrye Bash at first, because it kept randomly not installing mods even though I used to same process for every mod and even if they were in the same category they wouldn't install (ie I tried to install two sets of clothing one was installed normally while Wrye Bash refused to install the other), then I simply switched to manual install + BOSS only since NMM was also giving me problems (couldn't install or uninstall anything)... a few mods installed normally then the problem began yet again. I throw the mods at Data but they won't even show up in Skyrim's default mod manager for me to activate any ESP or ESM. Similar thing happened to Wrye Bash, but instead, I COULD install the mod but it simply wouldn't show up in my game, even though I made SURE I installed correctly and activated any ESP/ESM/etc etc on the Manager. I'm almost 100% sure it doesn't have anything to do with the number of mods I have, here's why: In Wrye Bash obviously it can exceed the limit of mods so that couldn't be it, and when trying to manually install even though I deleted a few mods just to make sure it wasn't it, it still didn't go. I'm seriously starting to get pissed off at Skyrim. Help, please? :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:
  5. Apparently so. When it was installed, I wasn't having any problems (well, at least not related to the mod), despite the fact that it wasn't working. Sigh. I guess that's that, then. Thanks. Bottom line: If you're reading this and thinking of uninstalling SOS, make sure you follow the instructions to do so. Chances are, if you just delete it like I did, your save WILL become bloated. But I'd actually recommend not uninstalling at all until this has been cleared up.
  6. Oh, and yeah I think it's really hopeless. Even if I load an unbloated save, when I save it becomes bloated.
  7. Hehe, sorry. I completely forgot about that before posting. Well... that was the smallest one. There's one that's too big even for Context to open. Yeah, I was thinking of starting a new character. I've completed literally every available quest except (Dawnguard spoiler ahead) , which I was just about to complete before the game started CTDing. Thanks a lot for the help. If I may ask for one more favor though, is there any thread around the forums for people who wanna start over and do like you said (recovering their items, etc etc)?
  8. Thanks a lot. So this is what showed up: I honestly have no idea which one of those errors are related to my crashing/stuttering, since many of them are repeating themselves over and over.
  9. Alright, for some reason the Papyrus log finally showed up, BUT it says it's too big to be opened in the notepad. Anyone knows another program that I can use to open it? Also, holy moly. The file is 3.262.703 KB big.
  10. Damnit... yeah, it's f*cked. I loaded that save I mentioned, played for a while and was super happy because it wasn't crashing. Then it started stuttering for long times (each consecutive time the stuttering time was longer and longer, it started with 10 seconds stutters and went to 2 minutes stutters). Then I saved my game, went to check the save I had just made and there it was. The save went from 13 MB to 95 MB. I'm guessing that's it for this character? Is there no way to "uncorrupt" it? Also, I'd be very pleased if someone told me why my Papyrus log isn't showing up. I do step by step until step 5, and the log simply doesn't show up.
  11. Well, my latest save is 98,1 MB big. I'm guessing that's normal? Also, for some reason the "Papyrus0.log" that was supposed to appear on step 5 simply doesn't show up. I followed step by step; making edited Skyrim.ini in the right place, but it doesn't show up. No, unfortunately it isn't. It's bloated. normal would be between 8 - 25 (tops). That's more than likely what's causing your issues. There was a problem with the scripts in Sounds of Skyrim Civilization, you can read about that here: http://forums.nexusm...unds-of-skyrim/ Uninstalling it caused issues, too. AFIK, Cliffworms is working on it. You could try going back to a save before you unistalled it and work from there... As IsharaMeradin has said below, I'm not absolutely positive that's the cause - but it is common among people who complain about problems like yours. There are many theories on save file size as well, but large save files do seem to indicate problems with bugged scripts or left over scripts from uninstalled mods. As far as the papyrus logs, are you looking in My Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Log/Scripts? If so, I have no idea why it's not appearing. Well... that's both good and bad news for me. The good news is that I keep 30 different saves (I save every 30 minutes or so) and I haven't played Skyrim that much since I uninstalled SOS and I just checked, and I have one save from waaay back that's 13.5 MB. The bad news though is that apparently saving after I uninstalled SOS, no matter if it's overwriting the save or not, messes it up. I don't know if just a coincidence or not, since I just tested with one save. What's also odd is that: I have two characters. One of which I 'stopped' playing with on the 538th save (though the game doesn't restart the save count on different characters, and I had saved only 20 times or so with that character) and the other that's my main character, which made my save count go up to 850. Anyway, when I try to play on that 538th save, it runs just fine and doesn't crash, despite being a save where I still had SOS. Shouldn't it technically be even more bloated? Also yeah, the log still doesn't show up. No idea why. I think it depends on whether or not the scripts are "baked" into your save file. Double check your Scripts and Scripts/Source folders to make sure the scripts from SoS are actually gone. They all start with an SoS prefix. Wish I had better news or something more constructive to tell you... I TRIPLE checked it. No signs of SOS leftovers anywhere.
  12. Like I've said, the game was running just fine until a few days ago. I know people who have more mods installed than me and their games are as stable (and sometimes even more). And at least half of my mods are either standalone weapons or clothing. I barely have any mod that changes the gameplay itself.
