  1. Depends which game you're modding. For Fallout 4 there's a "DefaultStayAtSelfScene" package. Find a vanilla scene, e.g. in ComPiperTalk, copy the "DefaultStayAtSelfScene" action from that scene and paste it into your scene. If not FO4, dunno, might get a better answer on a forum dedicated to the specific game you're modding.
  2. Talk is cheap. Two-and-a-half years of discussion about this concept has produced nothing. If you want it, open Creation Kit and start making it. Or, offer help to someone who's already got something similar in progress. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PJv5gW7Kdo
  3. Under Your Mod Page > Media, it is easy to rearrange the order of mod author images. It does not appear to be possible to rearrange the order of user submitted images. Can this become a feature? Some mod users take great care to create a gem of a screenshot, and then it gets buried. I would like the ability to bump the highest quality shots to the front. Granted, a mod author could download/re-upload the user image into the mod author image section and place it wherever (and I've done that a few times when permission has been received to do so), but then the user submitting the image doesn't get credit like they do when the image is in the user images section.
  4. This error starting happening today. Example: Outcasts and Remnants v1.4 has been up on Nexus since June 7th, 2019. About 16k people have downloaded v1.4. Some people who are downloading it today, including me, are receiving the following error when they try to open the downloaded zip file (the main file in the files section) from their desktop: "C:\Users\(User)\Desktop\Outcasts and Remnants-21469-1-40-1559975792.zip The Archive is either in unknown format or damaged." V1.4 is the exact same file that's been up there since June 7th and the download worked fine until today. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21469/?tab=files I've downloaded the v1.4 file twice this morning 45 minutes apart and get the same error each time. Those downloads were from the Chicago (USA) Premium server. But not everyone is getting the same error. So I just tried downloading the file from the Los Angeles (USA) Premium server and it works fine. Can someone at Nexus please look into why the error is happening on the Chicago server, and perhaps other servers as well? -thanks
  5. @Mudbass10187. No, that's not it. The problem is explained on Discord- it's a lengthy read, not a soundbite thing. I extended an offer to the Nexus moderators to discuss on a neutral platform where there's no fear of reprisal for saying the wrong thing, and the offer remains open. I very much enjoy Nexus Mods, it's a wonderful platform.
  6. Thanks, I've reached out to one of the mods as you suggested. If you would like the Discord examples and conversation taken down at any point, just say the word. I trust the mods have seen the examples by now and can make their own judgements as to whether the information provided has any merit, so I don't know how much good that forum offers going forward unless they'd like to respond there. Once again, thank you for your attention to this and the wonderful site you've built for all of us + have a great weekend.
  7. I support your right to paraphrase, and again, I appreciate you taking the time to address the matter. I don't know what else to say. I've offered my side of it on Discord, including the crucial information that is not addressed in your post, but it's up to you whether you wish to visit that platform. This is your site, I'm just a guest here, very much appreciate you having me, and don't wish to say anything negative about Nexus here where lots of people can see it. If our roles were reversed, I'd want to be 100% sure I had all the facts, even if they're uncomfortable to hear, where it concerns moderation consistency with respect to adult content and its nefarious step-sibling.
  8. Nexus moderators have accessed the Discord. What's on there isn't flattering to Nexus so I didn't provide the link publicly, but would be happy to PM it to you if you would like. It's your show, of course, but the moderation inconsistencies are laid out on the Discord, not in a Nexus PM, as I can get banned potentially for pointing out those things on a Nexus platform if the moderator doesn't like what I have to say. I trust you're interested in the full picture, whether you choose to obtain the information on Discord first-hand or second-hand via moderators.
  9. Hi Dark0ne. Thank you for your attention to the matter. I don't disagree with anything you've stated above, but at the same time, you're not stating all the facts, and I'm sure that's because you simply haven't been provided with the facts, and that once you are operating with all the facts, you will understand why this is a problem. I tried to resolve this privately with the moderator via PM, but when a moderator becomes condescending and then makes a veiled threat at a mod author, intentional or not, the conversation via Nexus platforms must necessarily end. The mod author cannot go further, as one party has the power to ban, and the other does not. I've invited the moderator in question to address the issue on the Project Valkyrie Discord (where I can't get banned for asking uncomfortable questions), and I'd love your input as well. I'm not providing a link here, as I'm sure you can find it, after which point you're welcome to provide the link or not. You have created something magnificent with Nexus. Massive respect to you. The actions the moderator took and the words they used are not representative of you, Nexus mods, or the wonderful work the moderators here do in general, and I don't think it's even representative of that moderator either, and to be clear, they did apologize for the words they used. But there's a serious lapse of consistency going on. It needs to be addressed, and I leave it to you on how to address it. Read what I wrote on Discord in the "Nexus-Adult-Content" thread (fair warning, you won't like it, it exposes a serious/show-stopping lapse in moderation consistency), and at that point, the ball is in your court. We can take the Discord discussion down, make it private, or whatever, but let's get this resolved so that no one can accuse Nexus of being inconsistent or arbitrary in it's moderation efforts going forward. I'm 100% on your side here, and want consistency just like you.
  10. @jimmywalnut You realize how many people get blocked by mod authors for saying something in gross violation of Nexus Terms of Service, and then come onto a forum like this to make up some B.S. story about how they were blocked over nothing? How many downloads do Arthmoor's mods have, 30 or 40 million? Maybe 10 million unique downloads? And how many of those users have been blocked? What is it you did differently than the other 99.999% of us who manage to use his mods without getting banned or feeling the need to come onto a forum like this and complain about someone who gave you free content? Edit: And 15 minutes after posting his love letter to Arthmoor, user deleted his username and closed his account. Going out with a bang: https://www.nexusmods.com/users/39115125?tab=about+me
  11. On a mod page, I'm using the insert image icon to add an image. That works fine. But once the image is on the mod page, it takes up the entire horizontal space. How do I make the image smaller? On the old Nexus site, there was no problem resizing. Since the site overhaul, I'm not getting the tool to come up that lets me drag the image larger or smaller. What am I missing? (Googled this but couldn't find anything post-site overhaul). -thanks
  12. @Bloxyman: Quinlan at no point verbally says that Sarah Lyons "fell in combat". Quinlan has no dialogue about Sarah at all. The words "Sarah Lyons" are never mentioned verbally in vanilla Fallout 4, and there are only four verbal references to Owyn Lyons: 1) Madison Li: "Even though Lyons let me go, there were a few others in the ranks that thought I knew too much." 2) Bos Generic Soldier: "I'm proud to be serving under Elder Maxson. I had enough of Lyons and his foolish ways." 3) BoS Generic Soldier: "You know, before getting shipped to the Commonwealth, I thought Elder Lyons still had some good points." 4) Paladin Danse: "The Minutemen remind me of the Brotherhood when Elder Lyons was in charge... unfocused and far too charitable for their own good." The only written mention of Sarah Lyons in vanilla Fallout 4 is via Quinlan's terminal, linked above. Bethesda did try to make it clear in Quinlan's first entry, "The Rise of Elder Maxson, Opening Notes", that Quinlan is at minimum a somewhat biased historian ("Long live Elder Maxson and long live the Brotherhood!"), and it is left to the player to determine to what extent he is a reliable one. It's possible Quinlan believes Sarah is dead (i.e. Bethesda is fond of using unreliable narrator), without knowing for sure whether she is. A strength of Bethesda games is they give you NPC perspectives from conflicting sides, and you get to decide for yourself what is true or not. Re: CBBE, if you resent using it, no one is forcing you, nor do either of the quest mods you've mentioned require it. Again, check the mod documentation and/or mod files if there's any confusion as to what is or isn't in a mod. Re: lore, there's an article in the mod documentation for PV on history of Fallout lore and how it ties in with Sarah. Not following the purpose behind throwing shade at other quest mods in the opening post based on a misunderstanding of what they contain, although if the fact-gathering process consists of watching the MxR video reviews of those mods, that's certainly understandable.
  13. Sarah's death is referenced in the base game only on a terminal in the Prydwen: https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/The_Prydwen_terminal_entries#The_Rise_of_Elder_Maxson "When Elder Owyn Lyons died, care of young Arthur Maxson passed to Sarah Lyons, Owyn's daughter, who was then named Elder in his place. But when Sarah fell in battle shortly thereafter, things became complicated." Bethesda games use unreliable narrator, and Elders of the BoS don't typically fight in battles (chain of command), and there were no major battles recorded after the one with the Enclave, which Sarah survived, so it's left up to the player whether that suspiciously brief terminal entry is true, or whether perhaps something else happened. There's a bunch of YouTube videos with theories, e.g. the Shoddycast and VincylicPuma ones are fun, but it's ultimately up to the player to decide what really happened.
  14. You are welcome to read the mod documentation or look at the mod files if there's any confusion as to what is contained in the mod you reference. Good luck with your mod.
