  1. I think low difficulty papyrus won't compile My link
  2. i tried deleting the offending file in Script folder but im pretty sure it just makes another copy
  3. Hi all, I am making a quest i have an existing script with referenceAlias for the actors and item involved i wish to add a map marker via adding property of ObjectReference to the existing script however no matter what i try to name the marker, after i click OK in the Add Property window, papyrus refuses to compile and tells me: mapmarker_var already defined mapmarker already has a get function defined mapmarker already has a set function defined but i have not set or defined anything, and mapmarker isn't the name i entered what's up with this?
  4. There is no longer an issue with the head not matching the rest of the body, i used the .esp to .esm workaround. right now i just need to be able to add war paint and change lip colour. changes wont show up in both CK and in game. please, this is really frustrating me can anyone help?
  5. Hi I've been keen on making my own companion for a while, although we are clearly spoiled for choice if you checked the Companions file category recently, but without sounding like an ass none of them are particularly notable or to my liking. So i started on my own, but a couple of things are driving me nuts. Firstly, importing a .npc from a save game into an Actor in the CK seems to mess stuff up. The imported face is several shades darker, has no make-up or war paint and the Upper Eye Socket value seems to affect the forehead instead. I tried getting everything to look the way it was supposed to, but CK really isn't the best for editing faces because of that fishbowl effect in the preview window. The second problem is the discoloration bug, but a bit of googling seems to have that question answered. Obviously I'm not up to that stage yet though because I cant even import properly into CK. I just don't understand the problem. What could possibly alter the .npc file after being imported, or is the CK just bad at that sort of thing? this is what i'm trying to get her to look like this but in my testing she is just not, both in-game and CK. the discoloration bug is just magnified by the fact she is already dark grey after being imported into CK. I've put a bit of time into this and it just sucks to have nothing to show for it. thanks in advance for any help
  6. I want to make a companion called Raven. I've followed tuts to make NPC's/followers but I keep hitting the discoloration bug. Backstory, stats and all that jazz does not really matter atm at this stage of creation. I'm looking for anyone who would know how to make a follower and successfully put it in game. I have a .npc file and .esp for those willing to give it a try. In summary, it's really the discoloration bug and how to import .npc file into CK that needs to be done. this is what she should look like I use these mods Apachii skyhair coverwomen covereyes UNP DIMONIZED the .esp has apachii and skyrim as master
  7. Hey guys, Was wondering if anyone could help me with a minor bug I've encountered. Basically, a few NPC's in Op Anch and Zeta keep repeating a "Shhh" animation where they bring their finger up to their lips and then wink after saying "Shh" (Herein refered to as Shh). It's very distracting during conversations with them as they will be doing an Idle talk animation and then jumping into the Shh every 3 seconds. This includes when they are walking around and in combat, they'll put a weapon up to their lips while still firing rounds. It's not too visually annoying, but with the sound on its almost unbearable. I have: all 4 DLC's 1.7 patch most common mods (but none that affect animations, aside from F3Umpa's dancing ones i suppose) I'm running on an XP SP3, quad core GTX 9800+ or something but I don't think the problem lies in my specs Anyway, help is much appreciated, for an otherwise tiny bug in a great game
  8. I got the registry stuff fixed up. Stupid mistake really. But I still have people floating around and its a new install >_>.
  9. I installed both times on the same drive, which was not the C: drive. I uninstalled the utilities and reinstalled them multiple times but they keep crashing upon launch (In FOMS' case) or can't find the Fallout folder. I have to manually direct ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated to the Fallout3 folder each time I run it. FOMM is an exception though, which is weird. I don't know if it's related but I'm missing textures and the like in game. Water surface is flat and the heads of NPC's rotate in circles so that they're often looking at you upside down. They also glide across terrain as do raiders, creatures, etc. Nuka Quantam's have lost their glow and basically, the game isn't like it was before. Should i try reinstalling?
  10. I've recently uninstalled Fallout3 from my computer and reinstalled it again. Programs such as FOMS, ArchiveInvalidation, etc that read the registry can't find the folder path and I'm getting weird results in-game. Can someone please tell me where the Fallout3 registry file is so I can change it?
  11. I also don't know what patch I'm up to, but I'm pretty sure I've never patched before anyway.
  12. So basically, I have Operation Anchorage downloaded and installed. The stuff's in the Data folder and I've even tried installing to a different location and then moving them to the Data folder. In game, the quest or Outcast Brother's message does not appear (after the suggested 1-5 minutes) and using coc to locations within the Anch expansion shows missing textures and walls and the annoying 'Red Boxes'. NPC's fall through the non-existant floor and don't speak and my pc floats in the air w/o tcl. I have a fair few mods, and I wonder if any of them replacing vanilla textures would affect the expansion. I have Anchorage.esm ticked in FOMM and Fallout3.esm unticked. I made sure I installed properly by jumping in GECK and looking for the Anch textures, but gun and item models etc aren't there, only the names. Help is appreciated!
