  1. Hi, I've been working on a custom helmet - it looks fine in 3DS Max and NifSkope but ingame the image is distorted. It used to look fine ingame but I reworked the model slightly before pasting the new file back over the old '2 NiTriShapeData' and suddenly this happened. What am I doing wrong? Cheers http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii262/SaintDaveUK/skyrim2.jpg http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii262/SaintDaveUK/skyrim1.jpg
  2. I have created a tricorn hat for the Solitude guards in 3ds max. I can't work out which settings to turn on in regard to "biped object" in both Armor or ArmorAddons. I have clicked a number of different things but all it seems to do is affect the visibility of the hat itself. The hat does not cover all the hair, so I don't want that nasty bald patch when selecting "Hair". Now I seem to have a hat which either appears normally or doesn't appear at all, apparently depending on how CK and Skyrim feel that day.
  3. Doublevil, you can edit the .gfx files using this tutorial which Dragon93 posted: http://www.modsrus.com/wiki/doku.php?id=dow2:formats:gfx
  4. Sounds like a simple value change. I wonder where to start.
  5. For anybody interested, the mod is uploaded. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=92
  6. Yeah I've been playing with that a bit too. Converting them directly to .fla to modify in Adobe Flash editor, and then exporting the changes to .swf seems to damage the file. See this 'dialogue' for example: http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii262/SaintDaveUK/ScreenShot4.png
  7. Me and Dragon may have cracked it. The menu buttons are hidden in individual Flash files.
  8. Oh hi Dragon, fancy seeing you here ;D But yeah, if you read my post here, I have got it sort of working, but I still don't understand why not fully. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii262/SaintDaveUK/skyrimX-1.jpg http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/457999-ps3-dualshock-controller-mod/
  9. Nevermind just noticed this: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/457751-trying-to-edit-interface/
  10. Me and some of my friends are playing Skyrim PC with a PS3 Dualshock 3 controller, but it is emulated so that the computer thinks we're using the Xbox 360 controller (more games understand that - including Skyrim). However, it is annoying having constant 360 button prompts, especially since the Xbox "X" button isn't in the same place on the controller as the PlayStation "X" button. After a bit of hunting I found that Bethesda has kindly left the PS3 icons in a data archive called "Skyrim - Interface" with the path "interface\exported" along with the mouse+keyboard icons and of course the 360 icons. I extracted the PS3 icons to the correct folder in my root directory and renamed them identically to the corresponding Xbox 360 icons. However, when I run Skyrim, they don't show up on the menu screen or on much of the HUD. I must be doing something right though, because the "A" button which appears with "interact" prompt (e.g. read, talk to, etc) has actually become the PlayStation-style "X". However, "A" persists as the 360 format in all the other menus and I haven't seen any other buttons show up. http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii262/SaintDaveUK/skyrimX-1.jpg What exactly do you think I may be doing wrong? Thanks
