  1. Nexus Chat was having a discussion over TES*Edits, the question came up as to whether you would open source the project...would this be a possibility?
  2. appreciate your efforts in creating FO3edit, i couldn't imagine Fallout 3 without it. wyre bash is in early stages for skyrim mods, but at least we have this. thanks again, fo3 and fnv edit are tremendous tools.
  3. Good luck in any case if you do start making TES5Edit. :)
  4. Sir, you are an amazing person and your utilities are godsends to modders. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Also, quick question, do you plan on making a file editor for Skyrim? there are hacky ways to make it work, but none are really effective. Many thanks, Thor Ryvac
  5. First off, I want to thank you immensely for all of the work you've done, creating supplementary tools for Bethesda's software and generally working to enhance player experience a hundredfold. That said, any plans to resume development on FNVEdit?
  6. Wouldn't have my mod if it weren't for FO3EDIT
  7. I could not do what I do without Fo3Edit. I would venture to say that for non-maprelated editing, your tool is actually far superior to even GECK.

  9. hey, your tool FNVEdit is a little wonder, thanks for that, and Kudos for you !!!
  10. Yes, the read/write engine produces an in-memory data model with a usable API and it does not have any dependencies on commercial components. But I have not spend any time documenting it. As everything else, that core engine is written in Delphi. It's possible that it can be compiled with FPC (free pascal), but I've not attempted that. Using that core engine it should be relatively simple to write a program that loads and esp, makes modifications to it, and saves the esp again.
  11. The full source of xEdit has not been released publicly. Neither under GPL nor any other license. Technically it is "Copyright by <me>. All rights reserved.". I did release the source for the core engine responsible for load/saving modules and representing/modifying them in memory under the MPL in the past with TES4Dump and FO3Dump. There hasn't been any noticeable interest in that source. Even if I would release the full source of xEdit, nobody would be easily able to compile it because it contains dependencies on a number of commercial components which I obviously can't redistribute in source. Furthermore, it is written in Delphi (XE by now) and most people are not familiar with that. I'm happy to make the full xEdit source (minus any commercial components which I can't redistribute) privately available on request on the condition that the source is not redistributed and have done so a number of times in the past. If anyone is interested in the source, please send me a PM with a description of what you intend to do with it.
  12. You are welcome. It's a fun challenge developing these.
  13. I must thank you so very much for TES4Edit and your other tools. Invaluable in getting all those wonderful mods working together.
