  1. I used to use a added spells mod that was awesome, but can't find it anymore. It added spells that leveled up the more you used them. As you leveled up the spells, you could add sort of perks to those individual spells. It came with an mcm config too. That's a good thing because by default the spells were overpowered. There was a fire spell that did weak damage but traveled instantly like lightning, some disease, some kind of magic hammer spell like a diablo paladin, i can't remember what else. I THOUGHT it was apocalypse, but this one has 155 spells not like 24 or 32. They don't level up either.
  2. Under special edition, I've noticed things are a lot smoother. Large battles certainly are smoother, and finally every single NPC fights in one way or another in large battles instead of having half of them standing around. Then there's the extended memory thing, no more CTD's because of the game running out of allocatable RAM either, so load up on as many mods as you want. Right now, barely a week after, we already have a ton of the major mods reworked around the lack of skyui/skse. Playing this has definitely given me interest into the game once more
  3. I didn't mention graphics because I don't care about graphics as much as actual quality gameplay, so yes, you're correct, I didn't mention them for that reason. I've seen comments that talk about the graphics and how bad they look. So what? A pretty game doesn't equal a quality game. True, we know what we're getting and have the choice whether or not to purchase. As with all Bethesda games they virtually give us (modders and users) a base from which to create a finished game. Bethesda aren't the only culprits these days either. Most AAA games the past few years have been riddled with bugs or even unplayable. Dragon Age Inquisition is one that come to mind and they are still trying to patch it. The thing is Bethesda are the only developers who create truly open world games where you can be anyone, or do practically anything, so if that's the type of game one likes there aren't many other choices. They have a monopoly and they know it. So, actually, no. I won't necessarily like this one, bugs and all. There comes a time when game developers need to realize their customers are the reason they still exist, but that's a pipe dream. There's a reason for that: The development time for something that large and open ended is so insane, bugs squashing is left for players to fix. It's that, or the game costs more, or gets simplified. Bug are the price to pay for the huge open ended feeling, the utter freedom and the size of the complex world. We literally annot have that, and few bugs, it's physically and financially impossible for any game developer, so we choose. As for new vegas, I never played, every review i read said it was linear, so I didn't bother. All I'm expecting the game to do is give modders a decent frame, and a large enough world to really create the real game, they'll do better than any game developers ever can, once again. Knowing now about how long it'll be until we get a geck, now i'm even firmer in my decision to wait a year or two.
  4. How hard would it have been to just make an editor where you load whatever you want and it leads, no additional BS required? :(
  5. would it be possible to get a sticky about those temporary problems? I get a lot of servers unreachable errors on 0.46, mostly seatle 1 premium. It is listed, on manual downloads, to have onlu 8 people at once, presumably because of problems, but that means it's the first the NMM tries to connect. I also get a few other times that it can't reach any server at all.
  6. Thank you so much for continuing this. 2 of my 3 favorite skyrim addons, this one and dovahkiin hideout have been dropped, and i'm seriously considering not coming back to skyrim until the last xpac and last patch are out, like i did for oblivion, so that even after great mods are abandoned they will remain compatible. But if you make this work again, together with warzones, i'd forgive the lack of dovahkiin hideout and come back to the game instantly
  7. Hi, i have a problem. i'm using windows 7 64 bits, 8 gb of ram, radeon hd 4670, and whenever i run oblivion in windowed mode, my windows cursor still keeps geing active, and everytime it hovers over groups in my taskbar, groups of apps pop up. it's diofferent from what i've seen reported before because i'm not using xfire, and i cannot use the original windows cursor to click on anything, it just hovers and brings up popups. It doesn't bring me to desktop if i make it click on my 2nd creeen's desktop or program opened there either. seeing both the oblivion cursor and the windows cursor at all times is getting very annoying. I tried running with no mods, or reinstalling, not working. my drivers are also up to date
  8. wow now i feel dumb! i haven't used those keys in forever, so when the mouse wheel failed me, i just supposed it was impossible and moved on
  9. there's a few mods out there with better menus and itnerface, including sortable collumns, very first thing i installed. There's also some hotkey mods
  10. i'm having server database errors trying to connect to the chat. someitmes it's a driver error comming from the server as well. something tells me it's not unrelated :)
  11. First, head to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Creatures and click on the creature you want to spawn exactly. Note its RefID and then in the console, type placeatme RefID number of animals a concrete example is if you want to spawn a mammoth, its refid is 0009834C and you can drop all the zeros in the beginning. so the command to spawn one would be like this: placeatme 9834C 1 this works for any npc, monster, object or creature in the game. replace the refid by whatever object you want, and the number can be any number at all. I do however recommend not spawning thousands of stuff at once, you might crash your game and overload your system.
  12. I've tried this but i cant make follow me, thats what i want. With Lydia its worked, but with Faendal its doesn't, whats the different? my only guess is that maybe she might have been dead for a short time and her corpse haven't yet disappeared. try prid refid then disable. then use placeatme and maybe it'll work, altough it's just a shot in the dark
  13. thanks for your answer, i'm headed out to eat, but will be checking this out as i come back. edit: DUH! Now i feel stupid. The big problem was that i was supposed to end every name with a 00(hex), and i had no idea about that. Now i'm fixing all of them, and this mod will rock :D edit 2: i'll probably need to learn how to link the strings files anyway if i don't want non english users to show english names though
  14. There's 2 ways of doing this. If you want their original equipment, find their RefID in uesp, then do prid RefID that will select the npc even if dead. Then you use the command enable to see the corpse, then moveto player, so the corpse is next to you, then resurrect 1 i heard however that doing this is still very flawed, and the game often won't register them as alive, but you just might be able to loot back the equipment at least. if the equipment is not an issue, placeatme RefID spawns a new isntance of the character. If it's already dead and corpse is gone, it shouldn't in theory cause any troubles.
  15. @New man Your solution to my problem sounded much to easy to work, but I did try it... It worked perfectly  , now I can increase the prices of food in the german version, so hunting makes sense. BIG THX!!!!   lucky you :D on my side i had this exact problem, but with ingredients. however, editing that field still gives me some corrupted characters mixed with the name i typed :(
