After all that uninstalling, can I go back to my actual saves or do I have to play whole game again? (I suppose not)

I have same problem as you. Activated Dawnguard and then I saved game multiple times at the same place. After that I look at the size of save game files. From 8MB to 32MB in 10 saves.
