  1. Remember in Oblivion how side power attacks would have a chance to disarm opponents, back stepping power attacks would have a chance to knock enemies off their feet, and forward power attacks can cause paralysis? I'm not necessarily suggesting that these exact effects would be applied to power attacks in Skyrim, but at least some sort of effects that create a purpose behind these different power attacks rather than to just look pretty. Right now the only unique one that exists in game is the "sweep" perk of the two-handed perk tree. I'm working on it at the moment, but the idea is still here if anyone wants to incorporate it into something larger,
  2. Thanks to a post I found on one of the comment threads, there is a temporary solution: http://i42.tinypic.com/27wsi9.jpg
  3. Unfortunately installing a mod that alters the sun or sunglare textures does not change anything at all. I actually had this mod installed at first and then tried Alternate Sun Glare and other sun texture-replacing mods, but none of them worked to resolve the issue.
  4. This is a very odd issue that just recently started happening in my game. Whenever it is daytime, the sun does appear at all, even though the sky and lighting look completely normal as if the sun was there to light everything up. I uninstalled and reinstalled all of my texture mods that effect the sky and sun textures, but nothing has worked to restore the sun. Now the strangest part that happened was when I decided to create a new character with the same exact mods installed that I have on my current character, the sun appeared just as normal. So it seems that this problem is not caused by any dirty esps or missing textures files, but by something that is happening or has happened in my current saved game. This is definitely the strangest issue that I've come across and I can't seem to pinpoint the problem. Any help would be appreciated! EDIT: It seems that this issue was caused by the 1.5.24 patch, but the latest 1.5.26 beta version about to be released will fix it.

  6. Great job with the sites Robin, it's incredible what you and the Nexus team have done and continue to do! One thing that I would REALLY like to see sometime in the future is some sort of "top comment" function like YouTube has. Currently, it is a real pain for mod users and authors alike to have to navigate through long lists of comment threads for reported bugs, solutions to those bugs, or highly-rated suggestions from other members. If those comments were brought to the top of the comment thread by being up-voted by other members, it will definitely save mod users and authors time from having to keep explaining themselves for frequently asked questions and such.
  7. I created a txt file in my Skyrim directory with all the console commands that I use for personal preference (fov, killmoverandom, etc). Every time I start a new game session, I have to open the console and type in "bat z" (I named the txt file "z.txt") to run all of the commands that I have in the txt file. While the command works fine and there is no problem, I was wondering if there was a way to automatically load the bat file at the start of each session, instead of having to run the bat file manually every time. Anyone know if there is a way to do this?
  8. I couldn't help but notice that I have the same 6870 gfx card as you. Kind of leads me to think that there is something wrong with the drivers of this card in particular, but I haven't really found anything to support this. I tried searching everywhere for anyone else that had this issue, but this doesn't seem to be a real popular one.
  9. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this problem but every time I'm in first person view, an annoying white outline always appears around any weapon, shield or spell that I have out. I'm not sure if this is a gfx card issue or something wrong with my game settings. Any help would be appreciated.
  10. I play FO3 with very minimal HUD (using DarN UI to adjust what appears). I was fed up with seeing those annoying "Super mutant right leg crippled etc..." on the message notifications, so I just disabled messages altogether. However, I would still like to see important messages come up, such as seeing what has been added to my inventory, etc. I believe my best bet is to disable those annoying messages individually by altering their message scripts in the GECK, but I haven't found anything that can do this yet. Any insight on this issue would be appreciated.
  11. PlaySound = plays the chosen sound. ??? = stops the chosen sound. Am I blind or is there no function like this that exists?
  12. I don't know why I wasn't able to get this to load before, but the way you explained it made it work first try lol. Thanks again Cipscis!
  13. This worked perfectly Xepha537, thanks a ton. I'll make sure to give you credit in my mod for correcting this issue. iFSS, thanks for the tip; I had no idea FOSE offered a function like that. But for some reason, I can't get the FOSE editor to run with GECK, so I was not able to use this function unfortunately
  14. I got it to work!!! I'll be uploading the file on nexus very soon. Thank you guys so much for your help I really appreciate it; kudos to both of you and I'll make sure to give you guys credit in my mod for your help. EDIT: The file is now up! Download it here and check it out! http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16907 P.S. Still having issues with that annoying "added" message when the healing effect is activated :wallbash: if anyone has an idea on how to remove this, please reply as soon as you can. Thanks!
  15. Alright thank you very much for your guys' input. I'll test this script out and see if I find any problems. Cipscis you are correct - the script works much better than before, however the 5 second timer will only occur when my health reaches 100%, so it will not occur if I am damaged while my health is regenerating. I'll try to find a way to implement your suggestion into the script. And on a side note, every time the "spell" comes into effect during gameplay, an annoying message comes up at the top left of the screen saying "added." I really don't want this message to pop up every time I regenerate health. Any ideas how to remove this notification from coming up?
