I did a rexture of the steel shield about a month back and it works fine for me but now people are reporting that the "reflections" are not working. I tried exporting a custom weapon into skyrim and everything worked fine apart from the normal map which didn't work. I tracked down the problem to the nif file and them compared my nif file to a vanilla weapon one. I noticed that binormals and tangents were missing and I have no idea how to fix this issue. I'm using max 2012 with the latest niftools update.
