  1. I use skse as well and couldn't live without it. The only reason I open the launcher is because I have had to tweak my settings multiple time now thanks to windows 8.1 fighting my screen resolution choices. I haven't really optimized my settings for any high fps and I do run a high performance (only knocks off about 3 frames) enb. I hit about an average of thirty, which is on par for what I experienced as a console gamer. but I do get high to ultra game settings. The reason I felt I was under performing is because I can run a modern title like bioshock infinite or call of duty ghosts on high to max settings, given I turn off v-sync. This thing kills my frame rate no matter the quality settings. I'll take a little tearing for better gameplay any day.
  2. Manual download and install, but then again, I never use NMM. It clashes with FOMM.
  3. That actually makes a ton of sense. After all, I did completely disable intel, force nvidia, and it still showed intel listed. Just curious, when you first boot skyrim and it runs the optimizing options prompt, does it set you to low as well? If the game assumes I'm using intel while realistically using nvidia, I can see why it does this. Also Chan, If you dont mind my asking, what sort of framerates do you get and what card are you using. I have always felt my pc was drastically underperfrorming.
  4. Nvidia geforce gt 730 and the intel card is a Intel Hd graphics 4000 Thanks, I'll take a crack at what you suggested. I haven't tried a restart, but wont I have to make changes in the BIOS? The driver that is If I restart after disabling, wont the normal boot up routine just turn it back on? Regardless, I'm going to try it. I have my save games and my data folder as well, I will just back up if I have to re-install anything. Once again, thanks for the advice, I'll get back here after trying.
  5. Kinda a poor description here. What do you mean dont work? The mods cause a crash, not showing up, or the mod manager is screwing up? In any case, I would try first making sure you meet the requirements of the mod. Not performance wise, but some mods require others to work. Example, a follower mod may require apachii hair to work properly. If you did this right, try manually installing the mod by dragging and dropping into your skyrim data folder. Should be in Program files x86 > Steam > Steam Apps > Common > Skyrim > Data. This is where you put the mod. Any meshes, textures, esp's, bsa's esm's, I dont know what your mod uses, but place em here. Lemme know how this works for ya.
  6. I am desperately trying to find answers for this. I have a Nvidia graphics card with current updated drivers, but with Skyrim and other Bethesda games (fallout, New vegas) and more, my default graphics adapter is forced to a intel adapter. I am not even given the option to choose nvidia. I have even attempted to force the adapter by using the nvidia control panel. I changed the individual exe's to use nvidia, and nothing. Then I forced it in the global settings. Still nothing. I even disabled the intel driver, and instead of using nvidia, it started using a default Microsoft render driver, which caused a crash upon start up. May also be worth noting that when set to intel, it recommends low settings, even though I know I can get console quality fps on ultra. I can give my system specs if anybody can help me. Thanks for taking the time to read this, any help is appreciated.
