  1. This sounds like the workstation rental feature of Economics of Skyrim. You can disable it from the EoS menus, and are supposed to prior to uninstalling.
  2. bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 You mean this? Then yeah, it was required for another mod. As for a pic, you're right, nivea, I should have included one, so here it is :P http://i53.tinypic.com/9fnvj8_th.jpg And a pic of what I'm trying to accomplish (this hairstyle shown with an invisible hat): http://s7.tinypic.com/205xjmc_th.jpg My file structure looks as such: /Data/meshes/characters/hair/ hathair.nif hathairhat.egm hathairnohat.egm (both .egms copies of HairMessy03hat.egm) Things I've tried since: 1) "Update FaceGen Model Availability" in GECK (along with deleting the armor entries that ruin everything) 2) Setting MODD flag to 1 in FNVEdit No change. Ideas welcome :) [EDIT] Figured it out! Apparently .egms only load from within .bsas, so I put the files in a .bsa and whaddya know, problem solved.
  3. Heya modders, I recently took it upon myself to attempt to port over the Hat version of the Bedraggled hairstyle so I could use it without a hat, since I found I really liked it after encountering an invisible hat. I made a copy of HairMessy03, copied the NiTriShapeData from Hat over Nohat, copied the .egm files in properly named to my new .nif, and put together a .esp with GECK. However the result is misaligned hair. Upon close inspection it doesn't seem to be scaled/aligned to the head very well, not just malpositioned. The fact that I get the same result without .egm files has me believe it isn't using the .egm files at all. I'm quite new to this, so, if anyone has any ideas how to fix this, I'm all ears. Thanks!
  4. [FINAL EDIT] Was able to figure out how to do it. Woohoo! Though I suppose someone could still make a mod for all of the hat-hair variants in the game. Hi forum folk! I noticed a funny thing when I tried to put Cass' hat on my male character today: it was invisible! I also noticed I had a sweet new short/flattened hairstyle, which I really liked the look of (I was using Bedraggled at the time)! I searched around for already existing mods that add this existing hairstyle/make it playable, but to no avail. I did however find this thread where someone had the same wish in FO3: [EDIT] Link isn't allowed it seems. I'm no modder. It sounds to me like someone instructs him on how to replace an existing hairstyle with this hat-hair. I would like to see a mod that adds these hat-hair variants as new options entirely instead of replacing or adding invisible hats. It sounds incredibly simple to do, as all the assets already exist. So, that's my idea if anyone feels like tackling it. Thanks for listening! [EDIT] Obligatory pic below. Yes, I also thought I'd try on her clothes... http://i55.tinypic.com/205xjmc_th.jpg [FURTHER EDIT] I finally managed to do this myself using GECK and NifSkope. Made a copy of HairMessy03, copied the NiTriShapeData from Hat completely over Nohat, however I get misaligned hair. I have the .egm files of HairMessy03 renamed to my new nif and everything. Any ideas?
