  1. I have the same problem.. eyes don't glow for human females. Males work fine. I'm using SkyRe but disabling SkyRe - Races does not solve the problem.
  2. I don't have a solution for you, but I also CTD after killing Sahloknir. When the words "dragon soul absorbed" are supposed to appear on the screen, I always get CTD. I don't have any of those dragon mods installed though.
  3. That sounds like good advice. I would have script not only the sound though, but also the function for adding dragonsoul points and one for making the "dragon soul absorbed" message appear.
  4. In vanilla Skyrim, the sounds that accompany "DRAGON SOUL ABSORBED" and "WORD OF POWER LEARNED" sequences are the same, drawing from sound files entitled: MUS_special_WordofPower01-02-03. In my mod I would like to silence the sounds for the dragon soul absorb sequence but keep the word of power learned ones. However, opening up the MQKillDragonScript it is not as simple as finding the play.sound and deleting it. What's actually coded is: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ; increment dragon count DragonsAbsorbed.value = DragonsAbsorbed.value + 1 ; add dragonsoul point to player GetPlayer().modActorValue("dragonsouls", VoicePointsReward) ; do this right now for MQ104 dragon: if !MQ104.GetStageDone(90) && MQ104.IsRunning() ; debug.trace(self + " setting MQ104 stage 90") MQ104.SetStage(90) int Property VoicePointsReward = 1 Auto {how many soul points to give player} -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am thinking that VoicePointsReward is something that can be edited. However, I am not able to find it in CK. There is a voicepoints under Actor Values, but it cannot be edited or anything. If anyone has ideas/suggestions please let me know! Thanks in advance,
  5. Hello, That would not be a problem at all. If your voice is too high, we can lower the pitch of the recording by a few semitones without changing the quality. In Skyrim, I think the human/elf female (same voice actor) has the highest voice. Khajit and Argonian are lower and a bit scratchy, and Orc is down in the man range. Please refer to the links above for software (Audacity) and audio templates (two files from 4shared). Let me know if there any other resources you require.
  6. Hi, We will record the audio as soon as possible, though I hope you are not in a hurry because I might take a few days. And if you also want me record something with my own voice I might be able to try it, just tell me what to do. :-) The only thing I wonder now is how you want me to send the recordings to you when we are finished? Hello, Take as much time as you need, no hurry. Once you record it, it will not take very long to add it to the mod. Try to save it in .wav format, although .mp3 will also work. Also, for file sharing, here is a good site: 4shared.com. Just upload to the site and send over the link. Btw, here are some of the audio files I have been working with, which may prove useful: E3 demo all parts Just male victory cry Cheers,
  7. I have a girlfriend who wants to do some voice acting for skyrim mods. We are from Sweden, but she speaks with an excellent british english accent and and possess a great speaker voice. She has also been a stage actor and has made several appearances. Also, she can write scripts and is very good at it (if you or someone else are interested in that). We do not own any good studio equipments, but I hope that a normal microphone will do the job. She is willing to record dialogues for free because she thinks it's great fun. Please tell me if you are interested, and also, any tip on what program to use for the recordings would be great. /noonesname Hey noonesname, Fantastic! I would be more than happy to feature your girlfriend in the mod (and yourself too if you want to take part). Normal microphone should work just fine. As for audio program, I just use Audacity because it's free and fairly decent: Link here As for the recording role, not sure if you've had a chance to look at the demo video and the mod, but the context is limited to the few seconds immediately before the player absorbs a dragon soul. Bethesda had their voice actor record a victory cry, and they showed this in an E3 demo video: . However, they removed this before they released the game, much to the disappointment of many players, for it certainly was epic. Your girlfriend could try to copy what the male voice actor did. It is not so much a speaking part as yelling/shouting. I am no voice actor but I would imagine speaking and yelling to require different techniques. Alternatively, if this does not suit your talents, you could try writing your own "victory cry" or chant and performing that. Feel free to have some artistic licence - whatever you imagine a person would say or yell after they have defeated a dragon and are absorbing its soul. One last thing - one eventual goal is to have a unique victory cry sound for each race/gender combo that fits with the other player sounds. To some degree this can be done in Audacity (by changing the pitch up or down). However, the closer the voice is to the original player sounds provided by Bethesda, the more immersive the mod will be. Here is a video showing "Fus Ro Dah" on all female races. . The default human sound is actually recycled for all human and elf races. Argonians, Orcs, and Khajit have their own sound. I hope that answers everything. Let me know if you and your girlfriend have any questions. I look forward to hearing your recordings! Cheers, Jon
  8. I'm hoping to recruit a voice actor to record a female Dovahkiin cry for my mod (DSAMG - Dragon Soul Absorb More Glorious). If you haven't heard of the mod, check it out here: DSAMG. In a nutshell, it makes dragon kills more glorious by adding victory music and a victory animation. One version of the mod adds a male victory cry. Just before the words "Dragon Soul Absorbed" pop up, the player screams "Do..vaaah..kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!" in reaction to gaining the dragon's soul. It's really quite awe-inspiring. Here's some demo footage: DSAMG - E3 Demo Version + Ritual Animation Anyway, the point of this post is to request the services of a female voice actor to record an analogous version of the victory cry. I've been trying for several days to put one together using snippets from various video games, but despite my best efforts it still sounds rather artificial. I've also tried using my own voice with a voice changing program, but it does not sound believable. Some things to note: - You need not have any experience in voice acting, anyone (female OR male who can fake a female voice) will do. - You will receive full credit for the vocal clip, and I will make sure your name goes both on the mod description page and is part of the file name/description in the downloads section. - If you have a webpage, I can share the link on the mod description page. Reply below if interested. Thanks! JonoPhoenix

  10. Omg so coool can't wait :) We have to find some sounds for these guys too
  11. There is a stingray model in one of the fish mods on nexus, and I remember some dude made a mod in oblivion that added sharks. Personally, the thing I want to see the most is giant sea serpents. They definitely had those in norse mythology. That ice wrath model/animation, the way it snakes around, could be used underwater. It would take some reskinning to make it look like a proper dragon though.
  12. Not sure what you mean by both exactly the same. For NMM to extract files correctly, create your zip/rar directly from your data folder, so the first thing you would see when you open it is "data". With manual install, there is no set structure convention - as long as the downloader knows where to put things. Hope that helps,
  13. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light into how armors & weapons are assigned to the various subcategories in the crafting list (Hide, Draugr, Leather, Elven, Iron, Steel, Dwarven, Misc, etc.). For weapons, it looks like when you click on the weapon in CK, there is a menu on the righthand side that has a few "keywords" such as WeapMaterialSteel, and changing this to WeapMaterialElven, for example, will shift the weapon from Steel -> Elven category. I notice that I cannot add any new keywords. If I try to type WeapMaterialElven, it will say something like "this ID is not unique". I've just been copying stacks from other weapons that have this property so far. How do I make new keywords/categories from scratch? I was also wondering whether the same can be done with armors. It doesn't look like they have keywords that describe material type. Yet, it must be somehow possible to change how they are assigned in the crafting list and/or to alter the crafting list subheading names. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
  14. Hrm... still not able to get it to animate. Do I need to take the player's control away? Right now I've inserted it midway through the MQKillDragon script.... maybe it has to be a separate script?
  15. Thanks for the suggestion. No, I had no idea idea that properties had to be filled out. Will give it a try!
