  1. Much love to all of you! I have been so busy lately I've hardly had time to breath. I'll be more active soon, though.
  2. Busy, busy, busy....no time for gaming lately. Pity, because I see some really amazing creations...
  3. I believe I have become addicted to World of Tanks...
  4. For starters you need to add bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 under the [General] section in SkyrimEditor.ini. That will allow you to load more then one master. As far as the race, I don't think you want to load its .esp. only the .esm. Also make certain the race is installed correctly. No hands means it's not finding the meshes for your race/character. The crash is probably a result of the CK being unable to find the necessary assets.
  5. Do you have VSYNC disabled for your video card? Right off the bat I'd check that. Generally it's better to leave it enabled.
  6. In order to get the race to show in the CK, you need to load it up. When you start up the CK, load your follower .esp, make it active, then load the .esm for the custom race you want to use, along with any other esm's (Apachii, for example) that you want the follower to use. ESM's aren't made active, in case you're wondering, they just get selected for use. When you pull up the menu for your NPC, you will then find the custom race listed in the race menu. At that point you can select it and then use the character tabs to customize the appearance.
  7. After you read Dark0ne's info, go forward to page 15 and read bben's post. It relates directly to what you're asking about.
  8. As far as the legality and the position of the Nexus on porting, Dark0ne has a section dedicated to it under the Forum Rules and Strikes threads on the Nexus Forums front page. It should answer most/all of your questions at least as they pertain to the Nexus.
  9. This sounds like nothing more then a simple case of the grey face bug. Read then try this - http://www.creationkit.com/Dark_Face_Bug You can select NPC's individually, or if (as it sounds) you have mods affecting all NPC's globally, select them all and run the process. I might recommend selecting them in groups to ensure the CK doesn't crash. Be patient, it takes time.
  10. No all the mods you listed are lore unfriendly. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26677 Legend has it they were the love children of Frost and Shadowmere. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35105 This race was an offshoot of the Argonians, genetically engineered by a rogue wizard after a visit to Black Marsh. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16020 Notice how you never see Belethor and Spiderman together in the same place? The car mod, well, I might give you that one. Maybe there was a rift in the time-space continuum and it got sucked out of post FO3 Washington. I'm with Werne. At the end of the day, it's my game. I want what I want; if it's not canon, who cares as long as I'm enjoying myself.
  11. *Possible Thieves Guild spoiler* Herluin Lothaire is a Breton merchant you earn after completing a Thieves Guild quest. He'll be at the Ragged Flagon. But he's an apothecary, so you might have to do some tweaking. Fianna, one of the food vendors in Whiterun, is also a Breton. Bothela and Muiri at The Hag's Cure in Markarth are Bretons, also apothecaries, as well as Vivienne Onis and Angeline Morrard in Solitude. I guess Bretons make good potions and ingredients.
  12. meshes\actors\character\character assets\mouth\mouthhumanfchargen.tri That's the location. I'm pretty sure it can't be altered in the CK, but you may be able to add it to the race you create. A .tri file is an animation file associated with a .nif.
  13. What are the specs of your system? That would be very helpful in determining your issue. If I had to make an educated guess based on the info provided, I would say your video card is struggling and the subsequent swapping of data with your RAM is causing it to crash. It's been my experience that many Skyrim crashes are the result of insufficient VRAM. 1GB cards are fine for vanilla, but once you start going to town with higher res textures AND numerous mods, they will struggle. Once the VRAM limit is reached, they begin attempting to swap data with the system RAM. Even if you're using 64bit and have the increased memory available, a crash is inevitable because you're asking the RAM to do double duty. Then the speed of all your components comes into play, all the other stuff you have running, etc.
  14. One thing to bear in mind also is that it's not just RAM involved, but VRAM as well. If you don't have one already, find a utility that monitors how much VRAM you're using at any given point. I had a similar situation to yours in that I installed a mod and saw my computer memory usage go through the roof and the game crashed. When I checked my VRAM it was shooting up to just over 1gb (the card's max). When you exceed the limit of the video card it attempts to swap data with the ram. So if you couple that with an already limit challenging amount of mods, it's bound to CTD. Once I deactivated the mod, back to normal. FYI I see prod80 said it's hard to believe you can eclipse the memory barrier, but trust me, even with a moderate amount of mods and texture improvements, the memory limit is reached in Skyrim VERY easily.
  15. OMG I love it. It is SO much nicer. My only suggestion so far would be to possibly decrease the font size so the complete titles show up better.
