  1. Tried to replicate the problem with a few other pieces of armor and couldn't get it to happen again, just this one armor and no matter how many times I re-make it. :wallbash:
  2. Well, heres hoping one of you nif wizards can help a poor bloke out  Was throwing up a mesh edit this morning for Dragonplate to give it some sleeves, and I ran into the strangest glitch that, for the life of me, I just can't iron out. Everything went smoothly untill I got knocked around abit and had to pop a healing spell, to which I then noticed the sleeves I had textured lit up like Christmas trees when I had any kind of aura apply to the character. Here's some screenshots to show what I mean, top is normal, bottom is with aura active: http://i.imgur.com/rlpPc.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WW6aq.jpg I've messed with everything I personally know of that would cause this to no avail, do any of you know off the top of your head what would be causing this, or would be willing to take a gander at my meshes?
  3. To check your weapon speed for the current equipped weapon, bring up the console (default ~ key) and type: "player.getav weaponspeedmult" the default vanilla speed is 100. To set the weapon speed, type: "player.setav weaponspeedmult #" The # being what speed you want of course. If you check the speed and it says 100 to begin with, try changing it to another number then back to 100 again and see if it returns to normal.
  4. Nothing is there. All I see is a huge list of video games in the Library., that says "Not Installed." Restart Steam and you will see Creation Kit under Tools in the Steam. In that video games list right? Cuz I still don't see it. IF you don't mind could you send me a copy of the Creation Kit.exe? http://i.imgur.com/x4hGo.jpg
  5. The HD Texture Pack is in .bsa format hooked to use by an .esp, so any texture mods you already have should override it, if I'm not mistaken.
  6. I'm pretty impressed as well, it almost seems like they took some ideas from shadeMe's Construction Set Extender and applied them here.
  7. The analogy was more hinting at, it's the way it works and you'll just have to deal with it.
  8. There is no alternate way of downloading the Creation Kit, and at this time providing one would be quite illegal. I hate car insurance, but I still have to pay it to drive my car.
  9. 1. Make sure you aren't a pirate. 2. Press steam tab "View" 3. Select "Tools" 4. It should be in there somewhere. I checked in Tools and it aint there... And Now [eople say the HD pack was 3 gigs,, it was 40MB for me What the hell is going on here? And dont worry i spent 150 Euros on the game... Collectors edition lol... if only for that lovely artbook <3 Restart Steam. http://i.imgur.com/x4hGo.jpg
  10. I've only briefly played around with the HD Texture Pack, but so far it looks pretty all inclusive, meaning it's bumped almost every texture I've run into (that I can tell) up nicely, and it also doesn't seem to be as demanding as 2k Textures, so far, at least.
  11. Yes, :P Edit - I got it to work by overwriting the shader property with a different meshs. Now I just need to hunt the settings down that prevented it from showing up in game the "clean" way.
  12. Followed that the best I could considering I'm not using 3ds max for the simplest of texture swaps and still have the same issue, renders fine with no problems in Nifskope (barring the block type error) but reverts back to default once in game. I also get massive errors when using anything but the default nif.xml : \
  13. 2k Textures is known to cause crashes, as for the ini, compare it to the original ini and change things 1 line at a time, then test out in game until you can determine the setting that is making you crash. Tedious, I know, but if you want the best look possible you gotta fight for it.
  14. 2k Textures is known to cause some frequent CTD's, try without that and see if you still get crashes.
  15. What are your computer specs? Which mods are you trying to use? Can't really help till you list those, as it could be the particular mod, or your GPU not being powerful enough to load large/extra textures.
