  1. I'm having the exact same problem as you and no clue why. If I try loading the game normally it works fine, but going through F4se it's like something is blocking keyboard input.
  2. I'm playing a pure magic Mage build character currently and whenever I enter combat I get a lot of stuttering/freezing/lag spikes. At the start I will stutter and it'll cancel any spell I was trying to cast and through the rest of combat several times the game will stutter and lag. Doesn't matter if it's the start/middle/end or kill cam I will often end up getting stutters and mini freezes. I haven't gotten CTD's and the lag only seems to happen in combat and using magic. I've tried using melee weapons and I might get one brief stutter but otherwise it's fine. Magic seems to be the issue. Processor: Intel® Core i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30GHz Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB (2.98 GB usable) AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series Game is up to date, using all the DLC's, most recent version of SKSE. Using Nexus Mod Manager version 0.49.8 Have BOSS and Loot, but haven't used Loot on Skyrim yet. Using the Seasons of Skyrim - Tribute Version ENB (tried combat with this turned off just in case, same issue.) Boss Order posted in the Spoiler and on pastebin in case the Spoiler version is a little harder to read. http://pastebin.com/gdfr0P5J
  3. I haven't tried without it yet. If I click on the Merged patch it doesn't actually list anything Merged anyway, it wouldn't hurt to try for a bit without it in that case. I'm not sure what a Deep Override does, how exactly do you make one in either tool?
  4. I recently started a new game and started getting problems. I thought maybe it was a few new mods I'd tried out that edited various cells so as I hadn't been playing for too long, decided to deactivate them and start another new game. So far it hasn't been as constant but I am still crashing here and there, usually when going through loading doors, sometimes fast traveling, and sometimes bringing up the Pip-boy. It's possible my Load order needs tweaking as BOSS couldn't sort some Mods and I wasn't entirely sure where the best place to put them was. My Load order in FOMM is the following: I also have the following activated in the package manager: If anyone could help me Pinpoint any mods that could cause it, or load order tweaks that might help I'd be grateful.
  5. That solved it, was one of the few things I didn't try. I just never thought to try that as when I clicked on things in 3rd person on my last character, I got the codes just fine. But thanks very much for the assistance.
  6. I hate to ask for help again so soon but this is rather confusing. I wanted to use the console to check a Followers stats and to try the enable/disable trick on them to make them level up rather than resort to the Wabbajack as that quest made me buggy on my last character but no matter where I click on a person after targeting them the console doesn't give me the correct number. It doesn't matter who/what/where I click, all I ever get is a bunch of zeroes followed by 14. Have tried manually using the base ID number for them but that doesn't seem to do much or I'm not putting the command in properly. Does anyone knows what could cause this to happen on everything I target/click? I tried older saves also but it gave me the same thing. I have tried it both when they're following and when dismissed also.
  7. Well the game default selected Ultra High for me. I'd tried dropping to High before, and then down to Medium with a few tweaks in the settings. That makes sense about the textures though, the skin one at least would affect any males and as there's a lot in game it would eat into resources quicker. I'll have to see how it goes, thanks.
  8. Yeah, I knew there was a chance that the script wasn't to blame, I was just being paranoid I guess as it seemed rather coincidental. I have had problems in the past with the horrible blue/purple block textures when I had more HD textures installed and thus got rid of a lot of mods that were more HD so the running out of memory could be to blame for it. I do save often and reboot every so often, especially if I play/stop/play the game a few times a day. It's just a real pain that my PC seems to be struggling with this with just a hair/eye/skin mod installed and then two other lighter mods when it loaded a lot more last time with only the rarer CTD. Would it help at all to lower my Anti-Aliasing (set to 4 currently) Anisotropic Filtering (set at 2) and change any advanced options? My Texture Quality is set to High, Radial Blur and Shadow are Low, and Decal Quantity is Medium. I have Land ticked for the reflect water option, should I untick FXAA? View Distance for everything is also pretty low setting wise. Skyrim is the only game I've ever had these sorts of crashes with, and where I've really had to edit any in game settings so I'm not entirely sure what would be best. Thank you for your help though, it's very much appreciated.
  9. Okay, so I restarted my character again after clearing out everything in Skyrim, played a bit before adding in my aesthetic mods and that was okay. I added in a few other small mods but now I'm out and about in the surrounding wilderness in Whiterun trying to do a few side quests and such I get CTD now and then and the Papyrus log is full of LvlPredatorScript.psc I know that's understandable, outside in the Wilderness there's going to be various creatures but the two times I've CTD now, that was the last script before. My recent log: I've seen the forum thread about Exterior CTD's and mods affecting AI Behaviour being installed and then removed causing this predator script but as far as I'm aware I haven't got any mods that would affect such behaviour, and I haven't removed any mods either.
  10. I restarted in the end, I won't lose too much even if it is a pain. Is it okay to clean the DLC's in Tes5Edit or will that somehow activate them? That's the only time I remember ticking them for anything. Or is it okay to leave them saying there's dirty edits that need cleaning for now whilst the DLC is deactivated, and then when ready to finally play them would it be okay to clean? Or should I do them now? When I had them on my other character, when I first bought them it was when I was ready to play so I cleaned and then activated each one as I got it and then played it.
  11. Well that sucks, I could have sworn I'd never activated them when I started it. If I activate them am I then forced to do them straight off? I was a high level when I started both on my last character, I've only hit level 10 with this one and don't really want those vampires attacking towns considering I haven't actually visited anywhere but Whiterun properly. At this point I'm wondering if it'd be easier to restart. I also had another CTD with another random dragon encounter. Killed it, started to dissolve then I got the CTD. This time it kept stating lines about Head Bleed and Blood Damage. Looking through wyre bash though, on my first auto save and even save 1, the files listed next to it do have skyrim.esm, update and then the unchecked dragonborn and dawnguard, where as the saves after that do not. I don't know how I managed that. :( eta: I checked the DLC's in wyre bash, loaded Skyrim, made a new save and then re-checked wyre bash. It gives me the purple check box which according to the guide means everything is exactly synched right. I suppose I will try the game for a bit with both DLC's ticked but if it gets too annoying I'll just have to restart. Thanks for the help.
  12. I just started a new character but did a clean install of the game/cleared out all the old files/folders/registery/etc. Everything went smoothly in the beginning with a Vanilla run so once I got to Riverwood I installed a few asthetic mods and played a while then gradually added a few mods one by one, checking they worked fine. I had one random CTD within Whiterun when trying to fast travel but I didn't have logging enabled at the time. After that, enabled logging and went about my business. The game seemed fine until I tried venturing out of Whiterun. I got a Carriage over to Solitude so I could then hop on my horse for quicker traveling to do the Missing in Action quest. Here is where I started to get my constant CTD's. As I was traveling I got attacked by a Dragon. When it was nearly dead I got the first CTD. On re-loading the last save I had and traveling to near the area, again I got attacked by a Dragon and this time killed it before I got the CTD. Third time I tried a different route, came across Thalmor attacking a spider, helped kill the spider and then I got a CTD again. Looking at the Papyrus log it mostly seems to reference scripts/events which say DLC1 or DLC2. The DLC re-installed when I installed the game but I never turned the DLC on in Data Files/Wyre Bash as I didn't want to play them yet. Is just some of what I had in my Papyrus log. (I can attach the whole file if it helps.) I've no idea if any of this -is- causing the problem or if it's mod related but when I played Dawnguard and Dragonborn with my first character I was able to play both just fine with a lot more mods than what I have now. My mods as listed in BOSS are as follows: Specs: Processor: Intel® Core i5-2500k CPU @ 3.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.3GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series Chip Type: AMD Radeon Graphics Processor Approx. Total Memory 3312MB Windows 7 - 32bit If anyone has any idea what could be causing this problem I'd be very grateful. I'm just not sure what could be causing a conflict unless it is the DLC affecting it somehow.
  13. Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help. I recently started a new Skyrim game after a prior save just refused to load up without crashing after I took ten steps. I uninstalled Skyrim and Steam, got rid of all the extra files, cleaned the Registery/etc and made sure it was all totally clean before installing both again. After that, I installed a few mods for the character creator and everything seemed to run fine so one by one I added more mods. I've now started getting problems with random CTD's Outside (and sometimes when fast traveling) it doesn't happen all the time and generally I get the CTD when just walking/running. I also sometimes find I have missing Textures. Like a statue/armour/floor will be bright blue/white instead of having its correct texture. Sometimes Male NPC's and my character also will be missing their skin texture. They'll have the head/hands but everything else will be a flat block of colour and whilst I do have a texture mod for bodies, I'm sure it's installed correctly. I'd enabled the Papyrus logging and I looked into the two scripts that always appear and one at least seems related to the Mind of Madness Quest which of course I didn't realize was supposed to be buggy until I'm getting the CTD's now. An example of the two scripts that always appear in my log: [01/26/2013 - 05:33:00PM] error: Object reference has no 3D stack: [ (0001E68C)].Sound.Play() - "<native>" Line ? Is the only way to fix this to go back to an old, old save before I did the quest and just not do it? I'd just like a little input from others if possible before I go back to an old Save set before doing the Madness Quest and lose hours of game play. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have looked through other threads with similar problems but just wanted the extra advice before I try going to an older Save/starting all over again from scratch.
  14. Okay, so I had a new game that was running well, only one crash from several hours of game play. I added a mod a few at a time, played a while then added more. This last time I added Vagabond Armour, Fur Hoods HD, two bat files that gave all ingots/ingrediants and A Quality World Map - with Roads. I crashed once on having to play fight Vilkas and then twice each time when I was in open space trying to run to the area to slay the Vampires in Bloodlet Throne. I had enabled logging in Papyrus and each time I had the following result: (000DC54E)].lvlpredatorscript.Enable() - "<native>" Line ? [ (000DC54E)].lvlpredatorscript.OnCellLoad() - "LvlPredatorScript.psc" Line 26 [01/16/2013 - 10:44:58PM] [defaultSetStageTRIGSpecificActor < (0005C9F9)>] didn't trigger for base actor [ActorBase < (00000007)>] <> [ActorBase < (00029D96)>] [01/16/2013 - 10:45:21PM] VM is freezing... [01/16/2013 - 10:45:21PM] VM is frozen I found something on here about the predatorscript line but I don't think I have any mods that alter AI behaviour scripts.
  15. Thanks for the reply. I do have Tes5 and used it to clean the dirty edits on my Update one like BOSS suggested. Only thing with Tes is that only the Apachi hair shows in it, neither eye mod or newer face mod I'm trying does, so I'll just have to see how it goes for now. It's rather frustrating as I see other players using the same mods I'm using and they don't have the CTD's. But I'll keep trying, and alternating if I have too.
